Yeah, Easter isn't until the 16th ... I just wanted to get a head start on the egg throwing before someone beat me to it.

My sis, her fiancee, Jess, and I finished the cascarones tonight - colored egg shells filled with confetti. We'll wage major confetti-filled war on Easter Sunday, and then lie about, comatose, after the rib dinner Jess is preparing. No ham this Easter - my sis requested Jess' fabulous ribs for her belated birthday dinner.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Easter.
Did the colored eggs last night with the girls. Mom boiled them while I was at work yesterday. Boiling an egg to its proper consistancy is something that has somehow always escaped me. My brother is visiting too; it seems the same lack of egg-boiling prowess is an inherited trait spread evenly amongst us siblings. Didn't call my other brother to verify, but I'd bet he can't either. I always mean to do those confetti eggs, Siren, since hearing you mention them years ago, but I always forget. One of my friends makes them too, and it sounds like too much fun.
Last night was our Easter dinner, because my family had to return home before dinner today. It was a fairly traditional fare: ham, sweet potatoes, steamed asparagus, salad, rolls, and....uhm.....Girl Scout cookies for dessert. Having a Girl Scout in the house, and I have way too many Girl Scout cookies hanging about.
Egg hunt at the neighbor's house last night, and one again here this morning. Baskets with too much candy in them, kids with too much sugar in them, and it seems the effects of Easter will last well into the evening.

Happy Easter to all! Hi Siren...that sounds really cool- the confetti eggs, and ribs instead of old ham... Hi Phalon, how are things at the nursery? This must be your busy time of year....your dinner sounds very similiar to ours- we had ham, scalloped potatoes(or potatoe scallop as its called here), butternut squash, asparagus and corn....The little guy is too young really for any Easter activities-but hopefully next year...

Hey there, Xenamoured. As always, nice to see you check in.
Yes, busy at the nursery. Lots of customers, but really this is preparation time - grueling back-breaking work - for when there will be lots and lots and lots of customers once the weather stays consistantly warm - still flipping between wintery and springy temperatures here.
A pat on the head from me for the little guy.
