Sorry I had to work today and missed it. I guess that makes us even, though. [glow=00ffff,2,300] Happy Birthday, asso! [/glow]

So I was looking through past threads to see what I've missed and I came across this. Heh, it's been quite a while that I've been away, so it's going to be very belated, but I'd like to thank you for wishing me a happy birthday.
Le, love, thank you, also, that is a weird posticon, that is the right term right? it's been a while and I never completely learned this boards terminology anyway, heh. Anyway, it looks like the sun is getting in it's eyes, so it has to squint, as opposed to laughing.
Jessi, thanks, and congrads on the mod job.
Piper, I'll say thanks just in case, even though you apparently aren't going to read it.
Ah, here's a familiar name, Irene, thanks, good to see you're still around.
Xengab, thanks, good to meet you.
I see that not everybody from the old board joined the new, given that the membership total is just over 180, but that's not neccesarily a bad thing, a smaller membership means that we have a more tight knit group that gets to know one another a lot better, so it can become more like family, as opposed to just another group of internet aquaintances with a common interest. I think it could be a nice change of pace.

I agree, that "message icon" is pretty funny. Maybe I should change it. I also like the more close-knit feeling we've gotten around here. Even when someone new joins, they usually fit in pretty quickly, accepting us as their extended family and being welcomed by the rest with open arms. Here's to all our members, both veteran and new, and to those who may join in the future! The only thing that could make it any better is if the few regulars who have drifted away or started posting less frequently were to come back and/or post more often, but I'm glad that most of those who post less frequently are at least still dropping by from time to time.
