Well, Le asked me about my wedding so I thought I would just come out here and tell everyone about it. The date is November 13th and I am so freakin' excited and happy! I think I have been engaged a week and I am already dying to plan it.

Four months would seem so far away! Then again, you'll probably be planning everything until the last minute, and then it probably won't feel like you've had enough time to plan. Congratulations! Will it be indoor or outdoor? Big or small? Or have you even decided yet?

I'm gettin' married in the mornin'.
Hey, hold the presses we, or at least I, am missing some info here. You are marrying who, who who? Owl, would like to know that, please. I cannot write the marriage column without it, you know.
G-stick.

We're gonna hold you to that. I love outside weddings! My step brother got married in front of a gazebo in the middle of a beautiful garden. Being in November, I hope yours will be down south.

G-stick, are you refering to owlcat? Maybe I am delusional. lol. Anyway I am marrying a friend of about 3 years and we kinda just fell in love back in January. He comes to the boards every now and then. He is a Xena fan as well. His name is Adam. So, you're getting married tomorrow?! Great!! Congrats to you too! And we are going to register tomorrow for our gifts. Of course it will be at Walmart and Target. Le, mine will definitely be down south. Louisiana in fact. Hopefully, it will be a year when November isn't that cold. it's usually just perfect then. *crosses fingers* Ours will probably be in a gazebo as well at a local park. I'll take pics of it if ya want when we go up there tomorrow.

Yes, please. I would love to see pictures! Considering how Arkansas can get up into the 60's in December, I think Louisiana should be nice in November. Here in Michigan, it would be way too cold to have an outdoor wedding in November. Tell Adam I said hi, and tell him to register and post!

Yeah I am hoping it will be in the 60s just not colder. My luck it will be 30 degrees. I'll get Adam to come say hi to everyone

Oh my holy lord. What is this? First dude and now another one. Congrats man. Aren't you quite young? I feel like you are. Not that that has much to do with anything. It's just that half the people I know are getting married and most of them arent much older than I am. Im wondering if more people are getting married younger again. Not that I know the average age of marriage for the last 20 years.

He and I have been really good friends for about 2 years and this past January it turned into A LOT more I am very happy with him and hope we can be happy for a very long time. Thank you so much for your well wishes

I think 24 is a pretty good age to get married. You've had a few years to cope with adulthood and get a better idea of what you want out of life.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm 32, some people think I look 18, and I sometimes feel like I'm about 50.

Try being 4 foot 8-1/2 inches tall... at 25 most people mistook me for a 10-year-old.... I got into the local fair for free because the guy thought I was under 12. Patted me on the head and told me to have fun.
My brother-in-law got carded and was under age and came and got me out of the car and I went in and bought the beer for him. The expression on the guys face when I came in the door with my brother-in-law and pulled out my driver's license was hilarious.

My dad used to say I was 8 until I was 12 or 13 whenever we went to the smorgasbord, to get the cheaper rate. I knew a woman once who was very short and used to walk to the grocery store with a backpack on. A van pulled up beside her and someone grabbed her, obviously thinking she was a child. She bit his thumb until it bled, then they drove off.

Great! I have done that also. Get cheaper rates because they think I am young enough. Wooo! That's a great story Gig. I bet they were shocked. I love buying beer for someone or me and them carding me thinking they caught me. Oh it's the small things that make me happy. hehe

She said they really took off in a hurry! Every time I get carded, I thank them. Sometimes they even look twice at my ID and back at me, making sure it's me. I can't really blame them though, because the DMV made my photo way too dark on a re-print. They gave me really dark hair and nearly black eyebrows, but I'm blonde. Sometimes I wonder if they think I'm trying to pull a fast one on them because of it, but so far I haven't been refused.

I'm also told I look younger than I am. Most people mistake me for mid thirtys, I'm 48. I get a real kick out of the look on peoples' faces when I tell my age. It's a good thing too because my husband is 21 years younger than me. I just tell people age is a matter of mind, if you don't mind it don't matter. ;D

You're right, it is a good thing you look so young, otherwise people would mistake your husband for your son. Congrats on looking so young! I agree, age is just a number. What matters is how you feel and act, and looking young is a perk, too. I think one reason why the man is older in a lot of couples is because it takes a boy longer to mature than a girl, so 17 year old girls are naturally attracted to college boys and vice versa, because they're of comparable mental age. Keep up the young attitude! It probably has a lot to do with why you look young, as well.
