Being able to have a hot shower/bath on a cold winter's day. Especially after going without electricity for 15 days during sub-zero weather. AND, using the toilet without having to force yourself to peel off several layers of clothes and freezing your rear off in the process. Right in your own home!

Great thread Siren, sheesh why can't I think up something like this? Guess I could say the obvious, watching the Cats win the Premiership, but that's not the sort of thing you had in mind I guess, soooooo ... the smell of fresh mowed grass .... especially when you weren't the one having to do the mowing.

A full moon too big for the sky...
Birds of prey in flight...especially like this...which I just posted on another forum in a thread titled, "What Brings You Joy?"...
Odd...these two threads were started on different forums on the same day. Seems like karma to me...

Guess I could say the obvious, watching the Cats win the Premiership, but that's not the sort of thing you had in mind I guess, Nope, you go right ahead and savor that win, kat. Since my Sooner gals have never won the big one, I can't totally relate. But I do agree that watching your team win is one of life's pleasures, especially when your family and/or friends are in the bleachers with you. TG, I, too, am a fan of moonlight. A big full moon always makes me think of that old hymn...*singing* Fair is the sunshine, Fairer still the moonlight, And all the twinkling starry host; Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer Than all the angels heaven can boast.

a long hot bath after a very long day. (p.s. heh, i'm guessing the cuddle cat was skyler. kinda wondered where she was the other night. she's not normally allowed in the guest room. then again, we don't normally leave the door open. or have guests, for that matter. anyway i talk too much so i'm done.)

Oooo, Siren. Fresh, clean sheets and just shaven legs - yes! Girl Scout cookies - yes, yes! Fresh, clean sheets and a shower of Girl Scout cookie crumbs - no! Way back when, when we were dating, Hubs used to snack in bed; a cookie or two with a glass of milk while we were watching T.V.. Inevitably a stray crumb would fall between the sheets. Bluck!
A cheerful conversation started by a complete stranger...
I had the nicest conversation today with a young guy standing at the next window in the post office, which continued as we both left the building, and crossed the parking lot. He and his girlfriend just moved to town, and were just so danged happy to be here, it made me smile.
