I went and saw 'Breaking Dawn' tonight. Would love to go see it again. Can't wait for the DVD to come out. Gotta wait until June.

So did I, sis. Did you read the books first? They are much better obviously.

And did you recognize Lenny Kravitz?

I enjoyed the movie....I just wanted more answers. I wanted resolution, d@mnit! I think I read somewhere before I saw it, that the movie encompassed all three books, and therefore I was disappointed it ended the way it did. It wasn't until yesterday, (after I posted), that I found out the movie was based on only the first book. Makes sense - why would Hollywood pass up the opportunity to make billions off sequels? (eye-roll)
It was a good movie, but based on everyone's opinion that read them first, I knew it wouldn't be as good as the books. I decided to see the movie first so if I ever did read the books, I wouldn't be disappointed in them.
And no, I missed Lenny Kravitz until I saw the credits! But Stanley Tucci - I love him. How can he always portray a likeable character even when the character is a bad guy?

Saw "Prisoners" the other day, with Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal in the leading roles.
Good film, but a few questions I'd like answered, so if anyone has seen it I'd like top pick their brains.

I haven't seen it, Katina, and actually I haven't heard of it. You know me - I'm pretty much oblivious to everything unless it hits me upside the head. Like this....

Sheesh thanks Gams, dived in here all excited like, thinking my questions were about to be answered, and instead get smacked in the face by a dirty big Pumpkin.

Sorry, Katina, to lure you in here unsuspecting. It was the Imp's idea; I swear it was all her fault. Said she wanted revenge for last year's Halloween Survivor. Can't remember exactly what you did, but was sure you did something.

Okay, we'll blame it on the Imp then Gams, though I'm pretty sure her recollections are somewhat skewed, fairly sure I copped more then I ever handed out in all those kinda games.

LX and I went to the late showing of "A Star is Born" last night, and OMG, it was good. Love Gaga, and who knew Bradley Cooper could sing.
Though I've never seen any of the other three versions of the movie, I knew the basic story except for the ending, although given the make-up of the characters, it wasn't hard to see what was coming.

The trailers look good. I've seen the Barbara Streisand one, but it was ages ago and I don't remember much about it.

The girls and I went to see Little Women yesterday - we all loved it! I can't say how closely it followed Louisa May Scott's novel; I read it right around the time I was a preteen, or early teenager, so I didn't remember a lot of it. Definitely something I now want to reread.

Saw Joker a few weeks back (twice actually) excellent film though very dark with an astounding performance from Joaquin Phoenix, highly recommended.

The girls saw The Joker, and felt the same way - they are both comic superhero movie fans though, (although more Marvel than DC), so it was no surprise to me how much they liked the movie. It did kind of surprise me that a superhero movie received so many Golden Globe nominations. Then again, I haven't seen the movie.
