Heard anything about this new NBC series, y'all? Here's an extended preview. Watch carefully, and you'll see Molly Price (Yokas on "Third Watch") and Miguel Ferrer (Garret from "Crossing Jordan"). As a kid of the 70s, I'll alway love Lindsay Wagner as the original Bionic Woman. I had the doll, the doll house - the whole 9 yards - and watched the show faithfully every week. Not sure what I think about this new take on the story.

Oooh! There are parts of it I like, and others I don't. It seems they're adding a bit of Point of No Return to this version. This could be one of the best shows to come out this season if they do it right . . . or they could screw it up royally. I don't know why all the characters on shows nowadays have to be screwed up. I loved The Bionic Woman even though Jamie Sommers was sane and had a good, normal personal life.
I'm gonna give this show a chance, and I'm hoping they work it out and she works for them (if they're the good guys -- which it doesn't seem they are to me), or for someone else (whoever the good guys are). I miss Alias, and this just might be the fix I need.
My thing is, if you're going to recreate an old show, you had better do as good a job as, or better than, the original or I'm not gonna watch it. I've no problem with recreating it so long as it's good, and the potential is there, so I'm willing to give it a chance.

An excellent point.

It was on and I watched.....and I actually enjoyed it. The only similarities between this and the old show that I can see after just one episode are the title, the character's name, and the body parts involved. It's so very different it didn't matter to me that it veered from the original; it's hard to compare apples to oranges.
I have to continue to watch, if only to see what's up with the blonde b!tch. Yikes! Scary.

I taped it and really enjoyed it as well. Since there is no "Six Million Dollar Man" series, this show had to change the back story as to how Jaime Sommers ended up becoming bionic. And of course, shows these days have to have a personal enemy out to get the hero for some reason. Enemy of the week just don't cut it for some viewers.
