Yeppers. I almost passed it up. The commercials first felt like a reality show, and I don't watch those. Then the commercials started showing more of the people involved, and I recognized some of the actors and figured it wasn't a reality show after all. It looked really creepy ... just up my alley ... so I started watching it. Later, I saw the actor who's 'getting married on the show' on a talk show, and he mentioned it was just 13 eps. And when asked if the show would get a second season, he said he didn't know, but if it did they would need to hire a whole new cast.
There are just 3 eps left. I'm wishing they had found a way to make it longer, but I'm betting shorter is better for this type of show.

Did you see the last episode, Joxie? I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!
Just too damn hot to be so damn nice.

Yeppers, I did. And I figured he was at least one of the culprits. And I did wonder sometimes if the father was lying about killing that guy all those years ago ... but when they dug up the grave I thought I should keep my eye out for someone else.

I thought most of the way through that Wakefield wasn't really dead. I didn't buy it that the Sheriff was the one doing all the killing.
And I don't buy it that Jimmy is Wakefield's accomplice. He's up to something....my reasoning being mainly because he's just there. Just there looking hot and being nice, and not doing much of anything else. But being hot. Did I mention that? His character isn't really developed enough to be the one doing all the killing.
In addition, there are two episodes left, right? They wouldn't have revealed his likelihood to be in with Wakefield yet, in my opinion. It's like the with the Sheriff....the writer's want us to suspect poor oh-so-hot Jimmy, because he's such an unlikely person to be a killer.
But then again, I have my doubts about Henry's sincerity too....
Wanna know how I think this is going to pan out, Joxie? I'm not going to tell you unless you say yes, because Hubs hates when I do this. He says it ruins it for him......because I'm usually right....or at least partially right.

The other guy is ...
S * P * O * I * L * E * R * * * S * P * A * C * E
Christopher
or
Joel, the guy who shot himself in the leg ... (And Then There Were None) ...
BTW: I don't mind guesses. I mind when someone _knows_ and gives spoilers. I _hate_ spoilers. I don't mind educated (or uneducated) guesses. I give them all the time. (If you recall, I shared my theories on "Alias" all the time at the old Whoosh forum.)
Actually, when I first laid eyes on Jimmy, I had a bad vibe ... then I brushed it off ... until this last show and the promos. But I did wonder if it was a setup for a fall. I don't mind being wrong when it was a great move on the writer's part. But I hate it when I'm wrong out of my own stupidity.

Ok, you asked for it.....this is my wouldn't-it-be-cool-if-I-was-right theory....
Except, I'm missing one part. Was it ever mentioned if the child Wakefield and Abby's mother had was a girl or a boy? I don't think Abby is the child. I'm betting it's either Jimmy or Henry. My theory works best if it's Henry.
He's the "outsider" - the one that didn't grow up on the island, but only spent his summers there. But Henry being Wakefield's son is secondary; it's just a minor detail.
I think Henry is in love with Abby, and is only marrying Trish for her money. He either found out Wakefield is his father, or found out Wakefield was alive, and hired him to kill off Trish's family so he could be the sole survivor, and inherit the family fortune when Trish died. Wakefield got a little over-zealous and started killing not only the family, but everyone in sight - just cuz he's that kind of guy.
I think Jimmy's got a police record because either he tried to track down Abby after she left the island, and Sheriff Dad didn't want her to be found so he had his mainland police buddies manufacture some type of stalking charges. Or Jimmy suspected what Henry was up to, and Henry had him framed for something-or-other. I dunno - I just don't wanna believe Jimmy's the bad guy in all this because he's just too nice. And hot. Have I mentioned yet how hot he is?
Just guessing....not even educated guessing, maybe uneducated hunching. And psst....don't tell me what happens tonight. I can't watch when the girls are awake (too scary and violent) and they are usually up late on Saturdays. It's usually not until mid-week that I have time to catch it on View on Demand.

Wait!!!! Hold all previous theories. OMG, Joxie - this would be too perfect! Trish is the bad guy - she is Wakefield's daughter!

Ok, here's my Trish theory, Joxie - it came to me in the shower this morning. Sorry you're my sounding board, but you're the only person I know who watches this show; even Hubs doesn't watch.
Trish is Wakefield's daughter, and Abby's half-sister. Since she was conceived during an affair, and an affair with such a horrible man, Abby's mom gave her up for adoption when she was born. In and out of foster care, or Oliver Twistish orphanages as a child, finally she was adopted by the rich family.
But she was oh-so-bitter when she found out who her biological parents were, and wanted to get back at not only Mommy-Dearest, but also Sister Abby, who she felt had all the benefits of a happy childhood she did not. Sought out oh-so-nice-boy-next-door Henry while on the mainland, and used her feminine wiles to get him to fall in love with her....and bring her to the island. Remember that beach scene from one of Abby's flashbacks? Henry brought Trish to the island one summer.....coincidentially the same time psycho-killer daddy was making his rounds.
And remember repeatedly that we've heard this is "all about Abby". Trish wants Abby to pay for taking her place in Mommy's heart and having a normal family, and therefore is helping Daddy-Dearest kill everything that Abby cares about - and if Trish's own adopted family gets killed in the process, well <shrugs>, they weren't her "real" family anyway.
In the end, Henry dies trying to save Abby, kills Trish in the process, and then Abby and oh-so-hot Jimmy ride off on the boat into the sunset together, the only two remaining islanders.
The end.
Hey, it's television....it could happen. Ok, maybe not. But it's gonna be someone that is the least expected. And since the characters keep getting killed off, there's not a whole lot of choices left!

I like Henry as much as I like Jimmy. (He was on "Ugly Betty" and other shows I've watched.) So I don't want it to be him either. I like the Trish theory though. However, I was thinking the affair was _before_ she met Abby's dad, so perhaps it's the older daughter? She's adopted and Trish is not. And perhaps daddy favors his bio daughter.

Nopers.
S * P * O * I * L * E * R * * * S * P * A * C * E
CRAP!!!
Yeppers, I saw the dang thing. And I must say it fell flat to me. I didn't like the ending at all. And not just because Henry turned out to be the killer. I found it hard to believe that Henry just turned like that over such a small secret.
I kept thinking it was the blond guy ... it had to be him.

I didn't like the blonde guy as the killer, and was glad he redeemed his 'I don't really care about anyone but me' attitude in the end, by getting the girl and her mother off the island.
I also figured the freakish little girl would get out alive....just cuz it's television, and executing little kids, freakish or not, would not set right with the viewers. And besides.....freakish kids who make it out of freakish situations, grow up to be the stuff sequels are made of.
But, I know what you mean. I'd guessed Henry - even guessed he was Wakefield's kid, and was in love with Abby - but I almost wished it would have been "I did it for the money", instead of "oh, btw, psycho dad's been teaching me to be a deranged killer over the last decade."
I didn't mind at all that this prediction came true. Sigh. Have I mentioned yet how hot Jimmy is?
