I have been stumped for a "U" character for days. But suddenly, this name popped into my head. Can't believe it took me so long to think of this beautiful, beautiful man. U is for Uncas, Hawkeye's brave and noble Indian brother, who gave it all for love, in "Last of the Mohicans", played in the 1992 movie version (which katina and I adore) by the mmmmmmarvelous Eric Schweig. Get a load of this, ladies: Grrrrrrr!

Vicomte Sébastien de Valmont - [ John Malkovich ] "Dangerous Liaisons."

X is for Xena!
Y is for Yosemite Sam. Gosh they don't make cartoon characters like they used to. (Or maybe I'm just getting too old to appreciate the new ones. )
"The Last of the Mohicans" has been airing on DirecTv recently, and I can't get enough of it. I haven't read the book it's based on though. I believe they switched the brothers for the film ... or so I read somewhere.

Ah, another "Last of the Mohicans" fan! I wish we could all share a couch and watch it together. Z is for Zenobia, an ancient queen of Palmyra, who led her people in a war against Rome: womenshistory.about.com/library/bio/ucbio_zenobia.htmShe'd have fit right in on "Xena".

A is for Anne Boleyn.
Was she really a villain? Or was she a victim made out to look like a villain?

Pluto - the Disney character, not the planet - or is it an ex-planet? The heck with the people who pretend they can decide these things! Pluto is a planet - except for when it's the dog from Disney who used Mickey Mouse as his feeder person.
