PM? Really? If this game is for the Grinches and the other game is for Cave Dwellers, does it matter? Or do individual answers matter? Just asking.

I assumed you'd want to compete individually but if you want to answer as a team I'm ok with that as well. I'm easy.
But not cheap.......

Since I sent my answers to everyone on the team at the same time, I'm thinking "team". (Besides, two heads are better than one.) At least for today I’m thinking team. And of course, that would exclude Major Award, the Aussie pillock, and the Siren’s Song if she chooses to grace us with the pleasure of her company. THEY don’t get the answers until after we’ve won. BTW: what is it that we win? I’ve got about three quarters of the Halloween Survivor bugs left. Easy works for some, but I need really extra overly easy.

Three to one don't sound like good odds. But since I was babysitting my great-niece and just got online, maybe that ain't much of a problem for this situation. Stepper did all the work and I only forwarded his answers.

Ok so....together or seperate? If you work individually I'll score accordingly. However, if you work together I'll score with whoever gets the most points.

Okay team! Together or separate?

If I'm playing, I'll vote the same as Stepper. If I'm not playing, ignore my vote.

I mean. Stepper gave me the answers, so it would be mean of me to vote 'individual' now wouldn't it?

It might be a good tactic- going it alone. A couple lucky guesses don't make me a good partner for what ever is coming up next. Soooo I figure if I want to win anything besides mention as an also-ran, this is a team sport!

Next game for the Cave Dwellars. Keep in mind that I'm stealing these from a website so some of the words may be the same.

Working as a team sounds fine to me since I'm so far behind the learning curve here.
Is anyone going to explain to me what a "Who" is?
|
|
|
Post by stepper on Dec 5, 2012 17:06:23 GMT -6
A "who" isn't a what, it's a who, or whom, depending on who you ask about. Generally, they are those who inhabit Whoville.

Um - this has twenty words as did the previous puzzle?
Hmm. I'm afraid the points are a tad slanted. It appears "they" keep getting puzzles with more points in 'em, but the latest one looks like a doozy.

Ok..... By virtue of the coin I just flipped I have assigned roles for each of the "contestants". Phalon: Who-villian Kat: Who-villian Stepper: Grinch Cave Dweller Spock: Grinch Cave Dweller Siren: (if she decides to play) Who-villian Mia: (if she decides to play) Grinch Cave Dweller Your first assignement is to check in at your respective areas and describe your character including a Grinch-esque or Who-villian name. Also you must pick a suess-like special power or item that each character has.
A Grinch-esque name? hmmmmmmm ...
Ooh! Did a search and found this:
www.quizopolis.com/grinch-name-generator.php
So I am: Miserlytroll Crankypants
Don't even glance my way as I'll take it the wrong way and pout. I have the power to make money out of paper. It's how Stepper can buy treats for 'The One Who Can't Be Named Here.' My pouting also comes in very useful. No one can hang in there long enough to not give me what I want.

OOOO!! That was inventive Crankypants! If I were going to use their name, I'd be 'Gruffscrooge Crustyshorts'. The Scrooge part isn't all that inaccurate, and I've been told that I'm somewhat Crusty, so maybe it's not that far off. Bah! Humbug! Oh kewl! the Scrooge part is kicking in already!
Don't give up Spock. I know I missed a word or two and every little bit helps when your opponents are clever little so-and-so's who won't give up.

I seem to be Crabbycrab Jerkyhead. Fascinating. What Super power does that bring to mind?

If nothing else it means you can still put the pinch on people - just watch what you're pinching.

Glad to see the cave dwellers are getting into the spirit of things!
I've decided that since you guys have access to seperate contestant areas I want you all to start posting your answers over there. At least until I throw out individual games. Makes for a less messy inbox.

Individual games? You mean games where I can't duck responsibility for my own short comings? (Note to self: more Reeses and doggy treats.)

Hmm, our next challenge and here I am not very original or musical. Guess I will just have to plagiarize ...
Of course that's really a poem, not a carol ... well here's another for those of you who still have children:
Ah, finally, a real song!!!
Oops! That last was my own. I guess that just proves that I'm not to be trusted where anything original is involved ... but I am a Grinch after all.

It's no wonder "they" accuse us of being over achievers. A song AND a poem! Or two!

Have Yourself A Miserable Christmas
Have yourself a miserable Christmas, Squinch your heart up tight. This is when, Your troubles will come back to bite.
Have yourself a miserable Christmas, Spread your gloom and doom. This is when, Your troubles will bare fruit and bloom.
Find yourself as in olden days, Unhappy sad days of yore. Spiteful foes who are dire to you, Gather near to you to take score.
Throughout the years you will beat them all down, And the Fates shall wail. Hang your head low and be proud of your misery, Then share your miserable Christmas without fail.

Let It Grow
Oh the Grinch's heart is most frightful, As is his need to be spiteful. But that doesn't have to be so. Let It Grow! Let It Grow! Let It Grow!
He doesn't show signs of mending, The heart that lacks of his tending. And thus his spirits remain low. Let It Grow! Let It Grow! Let It Grow!
Why can't he set to right, All the hate he's holding deep inside? Why must he hold onto it so tight, And not let go his nasty pride?
His heart is slowly dying, And all the while he keeps on trying To cause others so much woe. Let It Grow! Let It Grow! Let It Grow!
