The time changes at 2:00 am on Sunday, November 2, 2014. So, turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. Or do as my Mom does, and wait until you get up in the morning, and use the extra hour as you like.

Spring back and fall forward! That's what I say!
2AM? Who picks these time change times anyway?

I was told that 2am is the time that bars close, and that is why time doesn't change until 2:00. This way the bars don't lose an hour in spring, but they do get an extra hour is autumn.

Bars close? Actually, that makes sense. I was told once that the reason for the time was because it affected the fewest number of people, and it prevented the problem of having people back up into the previous day which would make adjusting watches, and now computers, more difficult. I see it's time to change from the Halloween icon. In case she doesn't mention it herself, Phalon says "thanks" but she wants the more revealing, juicy, lunch leg.

(sigh)
I guess this means I'm going to have to go turkey hunting to change it back.

She did! Then you made your comment, and she changed it to meaty turkey leg.
I changed it back lest you get any ideas. Mitts off! It's not nice to mess with my Turkey Gams!

Good for her! Unfortunately, I didn't see it so it didn't really happen.
Clearly you have me confused with some other person. (It’s waaaaayyyyyy to late for that.)
What? Those scrawny pegs? No problem. I'm too busy remembering the wonderful, hot, juicy, full bodied, golden, luscious, surely tasty - and REAL legs. Not those fake things you're flashing for the moment.
Men are interested in meaty legs I'll have you know.

Those things will only draw derision and criticism. Especially from those who know you for the Halloween prankster you are - those things are a trick costume - the trick being there's no treat.

I haven't gotten around to reading that thread just yet. I was saving it for when I had more time. I've been offline mostly for about a month reading the 'Outlander' series, so I've got a lot of catching up to do, and not just here either. (Until I get the 8th book in the mail, and then I'll be offline again until I finish reading that book, and the companion book, and 'The Scottish Prisoner' book that deals with Jamie.) Whew! That's a lot of reading! And I still have until April for the second half of season one of the Starz series to air.

We noticed! We miss you bringing calm and order to an otherwise chaotic existence. Although I think it's best to let a certain person have her head during October if you get my drift. I won't mention her name of course.
I think I'd want audio books for all that. That' a heap of reading.

Someone noticed my lack of online time! I forget how long it was before anyone noticed I was offline during the ice storm. A week or more maybe? Just about the time I got lights and got back online.
And, yes, October is a favorite month among at least a few members here. I do love autumn . . . as long as it doesn't get too cold.
These books are so long, I'm not sure I'll be rereading the series anytime soon. But it's hard not to pick up the next book once the last one is done because they're written so that they naturally lead right into the next one. There doesn't seem to be any acts/resolution/climax, or so it seems to me. New things happen in the last fourth of the book that go hanging, so that you have to continue reading the next book to find out how they turn out. I'm not sure I like being held hostage like that, but what can I do? I have to know how they turn out. Though, I will be left hanging after this 8th book, as the author is working on the ninth book and who knows when it will be out. It usually takes her about three years or more to write one of these very long books. I wish I had waited until the series was done before reading them. I tend to only read series that are completed, though I have broken that rule quite a lot of late. I've regretted it a few times. But, oh, well.

It's good that you have the time and enjoy burying yourself in books. I've read only a couple series in full - The Hobbit books, Harry Potter, and The Belgariad. After that I'll pretty much read 'a' book, but I'm not all that interested in a series. I prefer individual books which are complete unto themselves.
