Michelle Rodriguez to Serve Jail Time, Then Leave Country

“Lost” star Michelle Rodriguez turned herself in to start serving her 60-day jail sentence on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Rodriguez was videotaped walking on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, where she told photographers she plans to leave the United States, TMZ.com reports.
“I’m moving to France,” Rodriguez said. “You know, people don’t bother you there. I do what I got to do. Then I leave the country and never come back.”
Rodriguez was arrested in December on suspicion of drunk driving in Honolulu. The incident occurred just six months after she pleaded no contest in Los Angeles to a hit and run, drunken driving charges and driving with a suspended license.
Rodriguez was sentenced to five days in jail for the Hawaii charge, but the drunk driving arrest violated the terms of her California probation.
In addition to the 60-day jail sentence, the actress was also ordered to check herself into an alcohol rehab program and perform 30 days of community service, including participating in programs run by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
