'Heroes' comes to NBC's rescue
By BILL BRIOUX -- Toronto Sun
PASADENA, Calif. -- Heroes is seen as NBC's next big franchise show. Twenty-three episodes will air this season. "I have seen where it's going and it's going to be mind-blowing," said NBC entertainment president Kevin Reilly.
"They're going to stick the landing on this one."
Reilly was optimistic that many more current NBC shows will be back next season, including 30 Rock, which he saw as "well on its way" to finding an audience on Thursday nights. "It's got the third heat, as Alec Baldwin would say."
NBC also announced that Olivia Newton John will guest as a judge Jan. 28 in the first two-hour live performance episode of the new talent search series Grease: You're The One That I Want.
