ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' hits 'Housewives' for Sunday title
NEW YORK -- ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" is the new king of Sunday night. The white-hot 10 p.m. medical drama continues to outshine even its formidable 9 p.m. companion "Desperate Housewives." "Grey's" has been on a Nielsen roll since it lured in about 38 million viewers with its post-Super Bowl showcase airing last month. "Grey's" dominated the Sunday frame with an average of 22.5 million viewers and a 9.9 rating/23 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. "Housewives" (22.2 million, 8.8/19) performed well but nonetheless has seen its numbers taper off some as the season has progressed. "Housewives" undoubtedly was dented Sunday by the long-awaited season premiere of "The Sopranos" in the hour on HBO (reliable national ratings data for HBO won't be available until Tuesday). (Paul J.
