CSI spoiler: The return of an old "friend"
March 28, 2007
At last, we've got more details on some of the final episodes of the seventh season of CSI. We've already given you some dirt on this week's "Empty Eyes" (Episode Spoilers) - today we'll bring you details on a special guest star appearing in the second-to-last episode. Here's a hint – it's her fourth appearance on the series to date.
Beware of spoilers below!
The episode is yet another in the continuing case of the miniature killer who's been plaguing Grissom and the rest of the CSIs over the seventh season.
So who's the unexpected guest star? Well, the episode is reportedly called "The Good, The Bad, and The Dominatrix," which probably gives it away. Yes, it's the return of Lady Heather, played by Melinda Clarke, also known as Julie Cooper on the recently-cancelled The O.C..
Who doesn't remember Lady Heather? The professional dominatrix first appeared in CSI's second season episode "Slaves of Las Vegas," then returned in season three, where she possibly had a fling with Grissom. As well, the CSIs helped solve the murder of Lady Heather's daughter last season.
So what will the return of an old, er, "acquaintance" mean for the secret affair Grissom's currently carrying on with fellow CSI Sara Sidle? Will the rest of the CSIs find out about their relationship?
Melinda Clarke teases that Grissom is "a fascinating character to go after. And who doesn't love a good triangle?"
"She comes at a time when the Grissom-Sara relationship is heating up. Lady Heather's appearance actually changes that relationship in a way that is unexpected," says CSI's executive producer Carol Mendelsohn. "She won't have the effect you assume she'll have."
Although the final script has not yet been written, Clarke doesn't think Sara has anything to worry about, saying that "Based on the history of the show, it makes more sense for Grissom and Sara to be together."
