Years and years ago, I read an article that stated that your mind controlled your body shape. Your body held onto fat cells if you thought of yourself as fat (had no self worth), and your body burned fat cells if you thought of yourself as skinny (had self worth).
Here's how it stated it worked:- Feel the thin you inside of the fat you.
- Keep that thin you in your mind's eye at all times.
- Image a furnace inside you that is constantly burning the body fat.
- Image you shoveling the fat cells into that furnace.
- While eating, keep in your mind's eye the food being burned instead of being stored.
This isn't word for word. It has been so long ago that I don't remember exactly how it went, but this is the jest of it.
So, the experiment here is: Do this for a month or two, and then post your results here.
Did you lose body fat for real? Or did only your body image change?
In other words: Were the changes emotional, spiritual, mental, &/or physical? Only Emotional? Only Spiritual? Only Mental? Only Physical? A combination of several? Which ones?
Did you actually lose weight? If so, was it imagination alone that did the trick, or did your eating habits change due to carrying the skinny you around at all times?
In other words: Did thinking skinny 24/7 help curb your appetite or change your eating habits?
