Almost time for a new daily planner! I was flipping through this year's planner, making sure there was nothing written on past pages that I needed to keep - I've got a bad habit of scratching down new passwords on random pages - when I found a sentence written on March 5, and wondered why the heck I'd write it.
Ah, yes....now I remember.
From "The Law of Nines" by Terry Goodkind
"As he scrambled to his feet, fire ascended his white coat with a whoosh."
That reminds me, there was a "whoosh" in the book I most recently read:
From "Boy's Life" by Robert R. McCammon
page 121: (describing a boy riding too fast, and losing control of his new bike) "I didn't have much time to ponder it. In the next second, I crashed into a hedge in somebody's yard and my breath left me in a whoosh and the green leaves took me down."
