In many different traditions lighting candles is a sacred action. It expresses more than words can express. It has to do with gratefulness. From time immemorial, people have lit candles in sacred places. Why should cyberspace not be sacred? You may want to begin or end your day by the sacred ritual of lighting a candle on this website. Or you may want to light a birthday candle for a friend. One single guideline is all you need: Slow down and do it with full attention. From here on, you will be guided step by step. The candle stays lit for 48 hours and others can make comments or you can read others and comment. Also a little window stays open on your desktop with the candle you lit. www.gratefulness.org/candles/enter.cfm?l=ENGedited for url Irene

Thanks for the link Irene! I lit one for people who maybe effected by hurricane Charlie. Be safe everyone who's in his path. For my area I think it will be minor, but others, it maybe more of a nuisance. Sorry to hear about your father Scrappy.
