Perhaps we should start a new thread, ''Guess Lesigner Girl's real first name''. Ok, here it is! Sorry I have no cash to give out, but the winner will have the satisfaction of being the one to guess it first. There's a small hint in this thread. Combine that with the name of my website, and you just might have it. And no, the handful of people who already know my first name are not allowed to guess, or help anyone else out.

Ya know, this sort of reminds me of an episode of MASH in which Hawkeye's trying to figure out what the initials B.J. in BJ Hunnicutt's name stands for.

Good try, Piper, but it's not a consonant that throws people off. Rick, I can imagine what names they might have insinuated.

Although my origins are English, German, and Native American, among many other nationalities, the common spelling of my name appears to have a Hebrew origin. However, no information is known as to the origin of my particular spelling.

Hey, i'm glad to see you started this thread yourself Gig, if you waited for me to get it up and running we'd all be in out dotage before it happened. Let's see now, did your folks name you after someone famous, either from history or the arts?

Hey you, Gig!! Been a while, eh? I must make this my first post here at the new digs; it's simply irLesistable.
So the hint is in your website name. Let's do some free associating then, shall we? When I think of your more formal handle here (more formal than, say, Gig) my mind moves directly to the fashion world. Lesigner = Designer, which = haute coutre. Designer Lee jeans? Gads, I sure hope those fancy embroidered-back-pocket jeans will not ever come back. My guess then: Levi. That's Hebrew, no? I believe the Saxon spelling of that would be in it's singular, Lefi.
More associating, for free, even...
Songs. I imagine your name being set to music. For example: Levi sells cartoon balloons in town. Makes a lot, they say. Hey, he calls his son Jesus, which is also Hebrew. Well, unless you're Spanish, I suppose. Things that make you go hmmm...
Levi (believe I) (I know, it's been a while)should save further speculation until you confirm my answer is correct. Or not.
Great to see you all again!

I think the hint is not in the L-E but rather in the 'sign' part of the name...
Stop. Slow Children Playing. Lane Merges Right. Ooooh, I know: Prince. Gig used that funky symbol to avoid paying taxes or something, and now she's back to her birth name. Always been a big fan of yours.
