This was a very emotional and beautiful episode and I wouldn't have anticipated it being any better than it was -- especially right after fixing the rift that was mended in 'The Bitter Suite'
There was a lot of powerful things said in this episode -- it's so touching to see the maturity in Gabrielle in this episode -- especially when speaking of the 'greater good.'
Xena's inner turmoil and toiling within her mind about either taking care of Gabrielle or Athens was beautifully performed -- the pacing and her words afterwords -- not to mention the moving background music to go with it!
I thought the ending battle scene was spectacular! All those nifty traps here and there were so much fun to see put in action. I especially liked the part where she had fallen to the ground, spun around on the floor and kicked some more butt...
Though that bunny-bungee thing was a little odd...
Great episode all in all!

Another excellent S3 episode. I think maybe it's a little bit slow getting going, but what an ending. It's one of those that leaves you with a real buzz. The be-boing be-boing bit was a bit strange though.

As a rule, I don't believe in picking favorites. But this is one of my favorites.
This ep poses a big question: Must we be faced with a life-or-death situation before we tell those closest to us how we really feel?

Wonderful episode. The X/G scenes moved me almost to tears, and the fight scenes were great.

This was a great episode. It really cemented the relationship between them and told us that they truly had gotten beyond the hate from "The Bitter Suite".
