I used to watched several of the old tv westerns, they were mostly reruns when I started watching them. Only westerns I can remember is Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Big Valley, Wild Wild West & some I can not remember the names. Bonanza & Gunsmoke are on TV Land now, I get to watch them.
What westerns did you like?

Westerns were a staple on tele when I was a little'un, back in the mists of time. Used to like most of them, Wagon Train, Rawhide, Have Gun;Will Travel, Wanted Dead or Alive starring a young Steve McQueen, Cheyenne, Bronco, Wyatt Earp, it's a pity they don't make a few now. Ahhhhh, memories.

I hated Westerns. But not as much as I think, maybe, because Bonanza and a couple others are not the tough-guy slugfests I thought. Bonanza was rerun on the Pax religious network, and it's far better than anything now.
I only like the oddball anti-Western Westerns: WW West, Kung Fu... is that it? Maybe. Science-fiction was my escape from Westerns. Oh... "Nichols" from 1970 with James Garner and Stuart Margolin.... he was a sherriff on a motorcycle, a few years past 1900. Oh and Maverick too. JG was an admirable smartass. I like those.
