Reading some of the above posts and thinking what a sometimes scary world we live in. Then comes a day like today - perfect fall weather, beautiful sunshine, spent the afternoon with a group of kids at the nursery, listening to them sing and laugh while I drove them around on the hayride. Then at home, after work, celebrating Hub's birthday, Baby Phalon and Little Xena actually getting along, (pretty much, anyway...there were a couple of brief moments...but we shall let them pass). Sometimes you just have to savour the day.
Think I'll have some of that ice cream, Guru. Thanks.

Keep in mind that it's only about 10pm here. So we are all just having desert. But I'll make you some hot chocolate. Do the germans put cinnamon in there's like some people do here? With or with out marsmallows? These are important questions. Each cup is as differant as the person drinking it. I like mine with Peppermint Scnapps.

hehe, so this is the place to go if you are thirsty? Hmm, what should i have...I don't really know, *looks around*, can someone suggest something good for the new guy? I guess this thread is here for random "chatting"? i Know about these threads and they tend to get HUGE. Like another forum i post on, we made one of these our was named "Seraphim", and we got it up to over 10k replies. It was kinda fun, since you would compete who'd get to post on the even number(1000, 2000,...10000 and so on). And they were perfect to post in when boredoom took over. One warning though...When they thread become that big they cause alot of lag, which make the forum load slowly, so finally we needed to let go of the Seraphim, and make a new one. We made 3 of them in total, all with over 5k posts. The we stopped since stupid ppl would come on the forum and find the old Seraphims that we had pushed to another side back to the front side, and make the page lag as hell, and it was very annoying. So finally we had to lock the forum down for members only. Since ppl would bring the Seraphims back all the time >_<. Ohh well, just wanted to rant, and warn you guys.

Damn im bored, i write so much useless stuff when im bored, i could rant on forever about the first thing that pops into my head at these times, so as you might presume getting into a conversation with me when im like this would probobobly result in you going to bed, waking up the next day and still see me writing..Oh well...

Hi everyone Nice weekends? Seems like there's an ice cream epidemic...I did have some criminally good cookie dough chip on my pancakes last night... Been working hard yesterday and today getting a show into the theatre. I'm excited this week as our lead lady is Jemma Redgrave...who's not terribly famous, but she is one of 'the' Redgraves (Vanessa, Corin etc) and I've been a fan of hers since I was about 13 so I'm excited about working with her for the week! Phalon, your hay-ride sounds great, something to put a little faith in humanity in our hearts. Catcob, have nice holiday and a good time away with work? What do you do that takes you to Lille? Scrappy, I like my hot chocolate with peppermint or hazelnut syrup...but not marshmallows...don't like them...once you chew them they get all slimey...eww dixie

Hello Eirene,Scrappy and newbie Tegal, how are you all doing? Can I try some of your ice cream Guru? You can all have a drink of your choice on me. xengab

What a sick world we live in, Eirene! I could never understand killing, especially something like a father killing his own 4-year-old daughter. It sounds like you had a great day, Phalon! I used to love hayrides, but haven't been on one in years. I wonder if I could talk hubby into going on one this year. Hi Tegal! We actually have part 4 and 5 of some threads over at our old ezboard, which we left several months ago due to their countless bugs and other problems. We used to close the threads at 500 posts at their recommendation, but the folks at ProBoards don't make any such recommendation, so we're just taking a wait-and-see approach here. Once it starts to lag considerably (which I'm sure it probably will eventually), we'll close it and start the next one. Dixie, you don't like marshmallows in your hot chocolate? But it's so GOOD with marshmallows! I love squishing the marshmallows in my mouth, but if you think they're too slimy, you could melt the marshmallows completely in your hot chocolate to make it really creamy.

Hi scrappy! Do you really mean, that people living in the states, which put cinnamon and marshmallows in a hot chocolate?? You can make cinnamon in a glas of mulled wine, but in hot chocolate... i don´t know... You kidding, right? No, i don´t like cinnamon or marshmallows in my hot chocolate. Only milk with some spoones cacao - and i´m happy. Eirene

Hey Dixie, Catcob emailed me the answer to the Hangman question the other day so that I could finish the game for her, so I don't think she will see this post until she returns. Just didn't want to leave you hanging.
And I'm another one who doesn't like marshmellows in her hot chocolate. I like it straight.

No Eirene I was not joking. Among some of the Hispanic families that live around here it is a tradition to make hot chocolate with cinnamon. I don't like it but a lot of people do. To each his own. Anyway, hope everyone had a good night. I'll take a great big glass of Chamboard if you please.

Thanks Jox, I saw the hangman reply after I posted so I fgured catcob might not reply any time soon. On the hot chocolate subject I used to work for Starbucks and I've seen people put many strange and interesting things in their drinks! We used to do gingerbread syrup in the winter, I don't know if they still do it now...and there was some heinous thing called an eggnog latte, which IMHO was revolting... Anyone ever tried it? Personally I'm into alcoholic coffee and hot chocolate at the moment...my mum bought some really nice whisky, liqueur thing a couple of weeks ago that we've been putting in everything! ;D One of the many reasons why the colder seasons are great...any excuse for things like mulled wine is alright by me! Its my day off today so I have to drag myself to the gym which isn't as appealing as sitting home and watching a movie... laters everyone dixie

Wow.............sounds like you two need a little human glue. Recipe is as follows: One box really good chocolate One glass favorite alcoholic "medicine" One shiny aluminum bat and the will to use it Step One: Eat entire box of chocolate. This will help kick in those good hormones. Step Two: Drink glass (or two) "medicine". This will help to make you forget you just ate a whole box of chocolate. Step Three: Use the bat in any manor desired on the next moron who tells you you are old or frail or just generally incapable. Step four: Repeat steps one and two as necessary. I hope this public service announcement has helped you both get a little better.

Morning Dixie. Morning Tegal. (or good whatever-time-of-day-it-is-where-you're-at). Morning here, and I'm having my like fifth cup of coffee. <zing, zing, zip> Not much of a hot chocolate drinker - if I do drink it, I like it half and half. Half coffee/half hot chocolate. Or, after sledding in winter, with a dash of Jack in it.
Never much cared for marshmallows, for the same reason as Eirene. Way too sweet. I remember as kids we used to make "taffy" out of them. Grab one between index finger and thumb with one hand, and then do the same with the other hand. Pull in opposite directions and continue to do so until you end up with a gooey mass. Never ate it, but it was fun to play with, (kids will do anything to get messy). Once, I can remember doing this on a merry-go-round on the playground and it got in my hair. Mom had a fit over that one, and it took forever for her to get it out.
Another weird marshmallow phenomenon here was to throw them in the end-zone during Michigan Wolverine football games. Everytime the Wolverines scored a touch-down, the field would be so littered with marshmallows that it looked like it was covered in snow. Strange - and I never knew the reason behind the tradition. Eventually, throwing marshmallows spread out to other arenas as well - mainly, I remember this at outdoor concerts. Then some started the "pulling taffy" thing and threw that. Now, marshmallows are banned at all stadium events. Very bizzarre, but not anymore then throwing octopus at Red Wing hockey games, (which is an actual tradition here).
Xengab, I hate dentists too. Hope you feel better and your visit is painless.
Good day to all.

Scrappy, step one and two are nothing for me...!!! Reason one: i don´t like to eat sweet things so much Reason two: ´cause of my sickness i don´t drink any alcohol BUT step three sounds really, really good to me... ;D I´ve worked alone today - again and it was fine!!! Even more funny it is, if i imagine myself, that my german colleagues must speak with our polish colleagues and they didn´t understand german... i know - i´m ordinary... but it´s to funny... I believe my fish is just ready for eat, now the potatos... Eirene

Morning All!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll take whatever celebratory type things anyone is dishing out. Check it out the big 500! When I signed on here I never thought I'd get that far. Thanks to everyone for making this place a lot of fun!
Dixie- I guess you have a point. We must stay in shape for all that Pirate type activity. Maybe we should ask the captain to start a PT program. What do you think Xie? Dixie? Phalon? Are you up for it? Maybe some arm lifts for all those glasses of rum?
Hope the Dentist didn't hurt you too bad. And I'm glad I could help. Just keep the recipe in mind for any future use.
Tegal- Right now it's 10:14 am and I should be getting to work. Hope everyone has a great day!

Tegal, I'm eastern time. It's midnight here now, so it's about 6am where you are? Good morning to ya. Here, have a cup of coffee and a doughnut.
Glad your tooth is feeling better, Xengab. Hope it still feels better after the dentist bill arrives. Ouch! Those things can be more painful than the toothache. Little Xena just had to have three teeth pulled, (her baby teeth were not even loose, but the adult teeth had already come in behind them). Put quite the dent in my pocketbook. I've decided in my next life I'm going to be a dentist. Or at least be married to one.
Later all. Have a good day tomorrow.
