6am! What the heck are you doing up and online! Go back to bed. At least, that's what I'd do. For at least another half hour, anyway.
Speaking of bed, I'd love to get there early tonight, but dang, I've still got a bit of work to do for a class I'm giving that's coming up. Seventh grade students this time, and I think I'd much rather speak in front of adults. So critical, teenagers can be. It's those blank stares that'll getcha.
So goodnight all, (or good morning).

I think what I really wanna do is get glammed up, go out, drink, dance, laugh, flirt and get my mojo back! Sadly everyone else seems to be suffering from that seasonal disorder thingy that people get when the weather turns colder and there's no sunshine to prance about in... Roll on Yule...I need an injection of festive spirit! dixie

okay, what´s Mau-mau: you´ve 32 cards from 7- throne mixe the cards and give every player 5-7 cards you can only put a card with the same colour ( heart of heart ) or the same number/ picture ( 8 heart of 8 cross and king of king ) if you can´t put any card then you must take one from the staple meaning of the cards: 7 - the next player must take two cards, exceppt he has a 7 too, the must the next player take 4 cards ( ever the player who has no 7 to put it on the 7 must take the cards ) Throne- if you put the throne on the table, the next player can´t play this round Prince: you can wish yourself a colour That´s you need to know... Good morning, tribe! Raise and shine everyone! A new stormy, rain coming down and cold day has begone!! Who wanna stay in the warm, soft, hugbed on such a day, hu ? C´mon, stand up and enjoy the coldness!! Eirene

Hi dixie! I readed the Mau-mau rules from joxie and i must say - for us germans the rules are wrong. That´s any other game, but not Mau-mau. At first: you never play in Germany mau-mau with Canaster/ Rommee cards ( 52 cards from 2 - ace ) You became never points for your cards, if the game is finished and you can with so many people play, like you want to do it - normal became every player 5 cards but you can give more or less if the player more or less. Scrappy, can i´ve some of your cookies, please?! Do you want a ?

Scrappy, sorry for your bad day. Here, have some of your cookies...they work wonders. I'd bake you some myself, but...uhm...baking is not one of my many skills.
Dixie, hope you got your night of dancing. Sounds great. Take me sometime. Dang, it's been so long since I've been dancing. Hey, is the Hustle still in vogue? Was it ever?
Xengab, your day with your granddaughter sounds lovely. My girls love to spend time with me doing arts and craft type stuff. We did leaf impressions the other day - taking fall leaves, paint the backs of them, then imprint on paper to make different patterns. Fun, but kinda messy - with my three year old anyway.
Eirene, what's the quote at the bottom of your posts mean? My German is horrible, (it never was that good). All I can decipher is "Humor is the..."
Tegal - congrats on the 100 posts. Sheesh, that must be the fastest ever for one to reach 100 - except possibly Joxie.

Thanks for the kind words all. And thanks for the cookies Phalon. Just the thought that you would try to bake me cookies is too sweet. I'll try anything you put in front of me. That blueberry cream cheese pie you had a while ago was fantastic..........

Eirene, what's the quote at the bottom of your posts mean? My German is horrible, (it never was that good). All I can decipher is "Humor is the..." The quote at the bottom means: "Humor is the lust to laugh, if you feel yourself to cry" humor = Humor is = ist the lust = die Lust to laugh = zum lachen if = wenn you feel yourself = du dich fühlst<br>to cry = zum weinen

Congrats on your third star Eirene!! How's everyone doing today? I'm working, working, working but fortunately it involves sitting at a desk doing not much...great job huh? I'm off work for 2weeks as of Monday because I have to do jury service. Should be interesting if nothing else, I don't find out what case I'm on until I get to the court on Monday though. I don't like missing work, in the world of theatre anything can happen in 2 weeks...knowing my luck something great will happen and I won't be here! I'm out tomorrow raising money for the children's cancer ward at our local hospital. The company that's sponsoring our pantomime at Christmas supports this charity so we're going out in costume with some members of the cast to help them out. I have to dress up as the Wicked Witch this time...I narrowly avoided being the front end of the pantomime horse, which is good because I think I would have collapsed from heat exhaustion... What are you all up to this weekend? dixie
