Hey there all no worries here...Just started a new job and oh my goodness the hours are nutz. Soon I will have a set schedule and I will be able to have a life. How is everyone here? Recooperating Q? The big storms were west of us for a change so we got lots of rain but nothing like last year so far. Just have to watch for the tornados that sprout up out of the sky is all. Hope everyone is well and that I will be able to catch up on the boards soon.

oh I love the smileys there scrappy. Gave me a good laugh. In our house the casualty was normally the caraffe so we always had spares of those. Hope the store has a good price when you go to replace it Phalon. Thanks for the congrats and well wishes. I am stoked about the career change myself. I have wanted to change professions but after 17 years of child care I didn't want to start over again, but after the news declared that most people of my generation will not be able to afford to retire till 80 I thought there is NO way I can handle that job for another 50 years. So starting over didn't seem so bad. I just finished my first week in training and it went very well, I think. I will keep you all updated. I am sure there will be some stories to tell for this new career exposes me to some wierdos! (now don't everyone chime in at once that I will feel at home then) Well I see there is a new Z's am I supposed to be posting there? Oh well I will post here till it is locked up.

oooh so we can play until then! Cool Joxcie. So how is life with you? I am personally having issues learning a new keyboard! It is the one that is split in the middle. I am needing the backspace key mega these days! Do you all have that kinda set up? If so do you ever get used to it?

Yeppers... just a few more posts and then she's locked up.
It's going fine...
I got one, and it took a couple of days getting used to, but I wouldn't go back. My wrists and hands no longer hurt me when I'm on the keyboard. The worst was learning to hit the 6 with my left hand instead of my right, but that's old hat now too.

Nothing much... same-o same-o... Finally added two posts to the Whoosher thread so Phalon wouldn't kill me... and I thought I'd give her a chance to add a few remarks before I worked on a post that will get us out of the tunnels. Figured I should let her and guru react to my rushing by them and burrowing into a hole in the ground.

Good evening all...Hope life is treating you well.
I would love a nice tall glass of anything cold and warms the body at the same time. My head is throbbing...not all bad though for I had to have laughed more today then in a long time. My new coworkers are getting a little snipit of my goofieness and so everyone was entertained as I attempted to do my job...
Guess I can get away with my remarks to callers at this time but the others would never dream of telling a person calling an emergency number, cause she locked her keys in the car...to hang up the phone and call information and ask for a locksmith. The caller was so mad she hung up on me and the whole room was rolling on the floor. Guess I have to learn how to be more tactful...I mean Really, what was I supposed to do? Anyway you all would not believe half the things that people call for help with.

I have actually heard that before. What is sad is that it did not surprise me. I have a coworker that is having an article published in a magazine, be on the look out. The title is "911 my panties are pink" I got a sneak peek today and it was cute.
It is amazing how so many people use emergency numbers for general info. Now that there is free calls from cell phones that are not activated...I can not express to you the frustration. I understand it is worth it when that one senior/person that needs assistance gets it, but all the other bs, how are the operators supposed to get through to the person who truely needs help?

That, Joxie is about what I look like right about now; hair longer and a lot more astray; fangs sharper; more of a snarl.
The champagne will have to wait, Fair Mophead. Keep it chilled.
I've got to go soothe the beast within.

Not even memosas before caffiene, Scrappy. Caffiene out-weighs anything.
Hey, Marysgurl. I see you hanging about down there. Hope your and ILB's weekend is going well. Have a drink or a couple on my tab.

Yes! Much better the last couple of days - in the seventies and eighties. Much more typical. Should be out skiing, shouldn't I? Sounds like a plan, I think.
....Before it gets hot and icky again tomorrow. Argh - back up in the nineties, and I wonder what people do - how they function, if they have jobs that require outside work in place such as where Scrappy lives?
I'd melt.
Two Long Island Ice Teas? I'd melt, or at least slide under the table in a pool of liquid mush.
