Ides of March Collage

This is actually my first RenPics related collage that I've made -- I normally collage X-F and special requests made by friends but -- I decided to enter myself in an online challenge:

The Xena Wallpaper Challenges

And I entered into the theme - Season 4 episode - And I had just finished watching 'Ides of March' and I had gotten an inspiration from it... but I babble...

Anyway, here is my collage!

I originally wanted to add about 500 more scenes in it... lol, well actually, I wanted to ideally put in: G on the cross, X on the cross, G supine on a cross looking at X, a profile shot of Brutus, Callisto with a chakram balanced on her finger, a shot with G and Eli together, and a shot of angel X and G...

But that's one too many pics in one collage...

So I had to narrow it down... maybe I'll make a part two of this collage and add all those others -- This is actually the first time I've done an episodic collage of any sort... and I've made a big effor to make sure all the important characters in that episode were included -- I actually forgot Eli... and just threw him in one of the corners randomly and added a powerful quotation by him...

I even included Amarise!

Now that you mention it, I wonder if you could've somehow added X&G on their crosses above Caesar's dead body without making it look crowded.

Maybe you should make it a 2-parter, and include Gabby taking out all those Roman soldiers. I know what you mean, there were so many great scenes from that ep that it would be hard to choose which ones to include in just one wallpaper.

Great minds think alike Gig! I acually did try that before presenting the finished product (I really did want the crosses)... but two random images hovering over the dead body of Caesar didn't exactly float too well with the creative process... so I had to end up nixing the two images and replacing it with the circle of white robed senates (which by the way were put on super super glow in the collage -- hint at 'higher beings' judging the death of Caesar).

Though I've always wanted to include the dagger, Gabrielle look, dagger blend with Caesar's body.. knife pointing to Callisto... type of thing and I hope that came out alright...

Something I focus on with my collages, is the hidden messages and symbols that really give any work of art deeper meaning...

I see the glow around Caesar, and I can see that something is there, but I can't make out the senators.

I like the knife blending in with Caesar and pointing at Callisto. I hadn't really noticed that before.
