Bliss was it in that dawn to be alive, But to be young was very Heaven!

Don't think so somehow, think I'll stick with young, may be able to come up with something pithy there given time.

Given the choice, would one swap the vast reservoir of knowledge and experience gained over so many years upon this earth for the chance to be young once again, with a lifetime of uncertainties stretching endlessly into the distance .................................. yep, sure would. ;D
Endlessly.
P.S. Still working on pithy.

Even as she thought this, she closed her eyes and saw Gabrielle, smiling at her, the light of the sun shining from her face. She caught her lip between her teeth and bit hard, determined to end the agony. Carefully, gently, she drew black velvet around the little bard, layer after layer, wrapping her until the light was obscured and no soft laughter could escape. She took the package to the edge of an abyss, steeled herself to drop it in, and watched as it plummeted endlessly, out of sight. She absently slammed a fist against the recent wound in her thigh, ripping the stitches, relieved to feel some other pain for a change.

Couldn't resist...all that talk of succulent breasts yesterday...*snort*
First, are you our sort of a person? Do you wear: A glass eye, false teeth or a crutch, A brace or a hook, Rubber breasts or a rubber crotch, Stitches to show something’s missing?

Rubber the wrong way, and it's possible you'll be shafted and without protection.
Talking Xena, of course. Sheesh.

Duh? This is a case of another of my puns and innuendo gone astray. So misunderstood. I shall translate now.
Shamefully quoting myself...
Phalonese to English translation:
Get on Xena's bad side, and it is possible she won't defend you when you need it, and you could be left in quite a precarious position.
What I was implying...prophylatically speaking, of course...
Put a rubber, (the word in play), on the...uhm...shaft...incorrectly, and the you could be left in quite a precarious position...with your pants down.
Ok, ok...how does that relate to Xena? The time period, of course. Xena lived during the Trojan war, remember, and one often wonders which was better: sheathed or unsheathed.
Yeah, I'm doing it again. Swords, I mean...sort of.
Though my hair is brown perhaps this is a stereotypical blonde moment: only I understand what I'm saying.
God, I am irritating.
Following blonde; next word is irritating.

And let's not forget...that occaisionally if you forget to greese Xena's...uh...palm....you may find yourself in an irritatingly frictionless position?
How was that for sperm..uh spur of the moment?

Smooth, Poppet; a frictionless display of...er...something; I haven't quite figured it out yet.
They say that truth is stranger than friction-less melondramatic, perhaps....or perhaps not.

Errr, excuse me, don't wish to be a bother, was looking for the Word Association thread and accidently stumbled into the s...e...x thread instead, so if somebody would be so kind as to point me in the right direction I'll be on my way.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!, YES!! Of course, Katrina, it's all about s...e....x.
Uhm...er...that was your word, right...s...e...x? Sorry, sort of got carried away there.
And s...e...x, here, would be an acronym, right? For..uhm...hhmmm...what...(think quick, Phalon)?
Seven Emotions of Xena. Yeah, that's right. You know...the power, the passion...and five more; too lazy to come up with something on the sperm whale of the moment.

You mean this "is" Word Association, well I never. Have to hand it to you Lady P, Muhammad Ali would be proud of how light you are on your feet, able to dance [ and talk ] your way out of any situation, I was so impressed I was nearly overcome with emotion. Impressed.

Do I have to clarify again?
The Huns dread the day the battle will be lost and they will be banished from this land forever.
Rules? I never would have thunk it. Word association, to me, means to type whatever the first thing that comes to mind when looking at a word. There is that Xena/Ren Pics thing attached to the top of this thread, so I suppose it should have something to do with that. But staying in topic has never been a big priority in most threads around here, (at least the threads I participate in...wonder why that is?).
And the Huns never followed rules.

If no one complains about rules not being followed in games, it's all good to me. However you can start a new thread in Off Topics if it is preferred that this thread must stay on topic. It started out that only one word was posted at a time, and they had to pertain to RenPic. (mostly Xena)
Personally, I think it's far more entertaining this way.

Couldn't agree more Jox, drat with rules I say, and it is far more entertaining when you never know which tangent the game's going to go off on, which is especially true when "you know who" is posting. Tangent.

Seeing the words "head" and "attached" in the same sentence, reminds me of something my mother used to say:
"You'd misplace your head if weren't attached."
Something I've uttered to LX more than once the last couple of weeks.
Sigh. I am so becoming my mother....and my daughter is becoming me.
And there ya go, Scrappy. Forgetfulness, it seems, is not just an age thing.
Forgetfulness.

"I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on", was a favoutite saying on my Moms, and I think it's been passed on to me, I tend to "forget" a lot of things now, but most come back to me in the "fullness" of time. Favourite.

I like the way you spell favourite, Katina. That proper English way that is rejected by my spell-check. I often ignore it - my spell-check - because for some odd reason I tend to use a lot of English spellings in my American type non-grammatically correct writing. Dialogue, surprize, sometimes colour; always honour. I'm not quite sure why, except to me they just look better written that way.
And even better when paired with another of my favourite embellishments: Punctuation.

You're not wrong, it always tries to drop off the "u" in various words, and change "s" to "v", but I'm to cunning for it. ;D
