9. What’s next?

I’m currently finishing writing the fourth book in the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn, which will wrap up Bella and Edward’s story. I plan to then write Midnight Sun, which is Twilight told from Edward’s perspective. After that, I may write some sequels for The Host, or may pull another outline from my files to play with. I won’t stop writing; there are too many stories I want to tell.

One of the weirdest things for me about success is how it sucks away your time. I'm successful because I write books, but that very success takes all my writing time! It's very frustrating. I'm just itching to get back into a fantasy world right now, but the real world won't let me. I thought this would be a writing year, but unless you count emails as writing, it didn't work out that way. I was able to do a few smaller things that will show up here and there—an extra chapter for the release of The Host in paperback, that kind of thing. I've really worked to clear my time, but that is a slow and ongoing process. Of course, another aspect is that I am more burned out by the last five years than I even realized.

The extra chapter isn't inserted within the story itself. It's in the back of the book. It goes between the last two chapters, and is in Melanie's viewpoint. Except for the prologue, all the other chapters are in Wanda's viewpoint. You'll know when to read the bonus chapter by the blank pages that were inserted to give you a heads up.
