Zena and Phalon,
Thanks so much for the kind words about my last post. It had been SO long since the last one. It was good to rejoin our wonderful scrolls!

Very nice scroll post Phalon. It was very nice and comfy like when you snuggle up with your favorite things and are able to relax.
The talents of you all give me that feeling each time I read a post

Thanks, GP.
Yep, same here; that feeling reading everyone's posts...like settling back, in perfectly well-worn jeans and most comfortable sweater, feet up on the table, and chatting with old friends.

~~ ATTENTION ~~
ProBoards will be upgrading their servers this week, so be sure to save any posts you add in case the upgrade wipes them out... then you'll be able to readd them later... also, for some reason when you copy and paste your "masterpiece" into your post, it turns ' into for some dumb reason... so you'll have to go through your post and edit the buggers.
Example:
Master's becomes Masters

~~ ATTENTION ~~
After the upgrade, image urls with the following symbols will show up as a red x:
#$_&@?^()[]{}:;'"%
This includes your avatars & siggys... please click on the "Alert" link in the news fader for where to find help. Thanks.
Le and I are working frantically to have everything switched over before the upgrade.

Thanks, Joxie. The books look interesting and I'll have to put them on my list of ones to one day look into along with the ones Evergreen mentioned in another thread, (if I ever get through with what I'm currently reading).
Speaking of Evergreen....
<pauses to watch a tumble weed roll past>
Is there anyone left here? Evergreen, and the Lady of the Northern Lake? Red? Sumire? GP, and Joxie - I know you're around; are we ever going to hear from your characters again?
Gabbin, I'll get to a post soon.

I have procrastinated getting a new account set up so I could post once again. I see that our wonderful story is languishing and I think it is time we dusted off the book cover and brought it back to the light of day. It truly is such fun to be a part of this group of Bards and I would hate to see the Scrolls meet a silent end for lack of interest. So... I am still in for the dime and in for the dollar. I will post tonight as that is when I am seemingly at my most creative best with a cup of cinnamon hazelnut coffee on the side for fuel. I haven't figured out how to get a picture back in place, but one thing at a time I guess. I'm set in my ways...change doesn't suit me well. [glow=green,2,300]Evergreen[/glow]

Hey Evergreen... I was mulling around ideas for a new post myself... haven't come up with anything yet though. Did you have another character besides Vassaly you wanted to play? If so, just PM me the username you want and I'll set it up with the same info in these two accounts.

Evergreen! So good to see you back. I saw you logged in a bit ago and thought I might be able to read that new post of yours before I headed off to bed. Darn. Maybe tomorrow? Always look forward to reading something from you. I am reminded of your last post, and of your description of Phalon on a peddler's cart - dangling legs back and forth; trinkets, baubbles and scarves. What a great image that was for me....it was so perfectly Phalon.
Funny, you posted in here today. Gabbin and I talked today, and were discussing posting in the scrolls again. Working out ideas, and maybe something will be up later this week.

Hello Phalon,hello mother...oops wrong lyrics... ;D
I have this mental image of Phalon of all flowing material, color, tinkling with beads and such.
I was thinking of bringing the Vassaly character back and low an behold psychic Jox ask and answered before I wrote the question on how to do it. Thanks Jox.
I will have to change the pic...what a "down to business" look Xena has. I loved that episode though...
We had some strong storms yesterday so I stayed off the computer. Spent the rainy afternoon installing new doorknobs at my oldest daughter's new home.
I am looking forward to writing again and glad to hear others are considering it as well.
Ave Zena...where ye be???

You're very welcome....
I thought I had saved the last images you used with Evergreen & Vassaly, but I couldn't find them on my computer. I had to get a new cpu because the one I had was about to die on me... so I either lost the images, or they're on the external harddrive I got to store files onto to keep from losing them when the cpu finally bit the dust.

Trix's website is down... don't know if it's just temporary, or permanent. Unfortunately, I didn't save the banners that she created for the bards here. If you have them saved, you can upload them to our MSN Group, or to photobucket.com and add them back into your siggies.

there it is. My brain is a bit fried from moving furniture for six hours in the heat and humidty today. I worked on one paragraph to a point at which it bordered on perseveration. I am not satisfied with the post as a whole, but hey, its a start back on the right track.

Hey Phalon,
Thanks for reading...I just entered some much needed changes to the last post for clarity so what you just read is a bit different.
Zena and I e-mail everyday. She is busy with grad school, working, and all the other things that fill her very rich life. The only "scroll" she has been working on is a paper for school.
Finally have my daughter moved and have time for some pleasures in life like writing. ;D
Hope all is well with you and yours. I also need to catch up with EROC. If you're out there reading, you are not forgotten! EG

Evergreen, glad to hear you're finding time for some of life's pleasures.....like writing; hope some of that includes more Scrolls posts. And I'm wondering about your book. Gardening also - is that on your list of pleasures, or is it just too darned hot down there to get outside? Tell me what's going on in your yard now? Irises and Blaze roses always remind me of you.
Azaleas and Amelanchiers: Eroc. Don't even ask. I do need to catch up with her also. I feel the need to give her one of my "No, no no"s that I know she so loves.
Please tell Zena that her Lake Buddy says hello, and looking forward to when she's done with her paper and perhaps has time to unroll the parchment here.
Take care.

of Texas some things are still very much in bloom in spite of the heat and little rain.
Phalon: My roses are NOT blooming. I think they are stressed from the heat. I know the feeling. My silverado sage are in bloom as are crepe myrtles-I have a fragrant white blossomed one, some deep pink, purple, and a new Red Rocket. Chi-Chi and Mexican Petunias (Ruella) pink, white and purple are in bloom, a few gardenia blossoms, and Fire Bush are still showy. A few pot plants and hanging baskets- Blue Daze (they take gallons of water) and Moss Roses are still colorful. My neighbor's Esperanza has an abundance of brillant yellow flowers. I have had a good year for the Rosemary-its beginning to get a bit of over territorial so I shared some it with coworkers. Likewise my Ice Plant. My Desert Willow-with purple orchid like blossoms- is about finished for the season. I have Mums that are starting to bud. I also have a wonderful new plant! It is called a Persian Shield and has VERY large silver/dark purple leaves in the shape of what? Shields! I call it my One Against an Army plant. My family think I am nuts.
I have another post in mind but not sure when it will get to the scroll. Somebody else feel free to please jump in!
Take Care oh Searess EG

Your garden sounds beautiful, Evergreen. It's been a rough year here, and everything in mine is stressed from the heat...everything but, oddly enough, my fairy roses. They've grown huge, and just don't quit blooming. They're in more shade than roses normally like though, and perhaps that is the reason they aren't as stressed as the others. Flower boxes still look good, and darn it, that's about it.
Oh, gardenias! I wish we could grow them here. Just an annual though, with our climate. My friend always grows one on her deck in the summer, and sitting out there in the evenings when our families get together - the scent is intoxicating.
Sigh....I've had a post stuck in my head for quite awhile, but unfortunately, everytime I sit down to write, the words won't flow. Maybe soon.
