Shoot, we're going to be near the Manistee area in early October. Maybe they'll still be filming then - it'd be neat to try and sneak a peek, and maybe get a glimpse of Renee.

Don't forget your camera ... better yet, a camcorder. Then you can upload it to YouTube. Don't let us down!

Renee has a clip on her website. Links to her website are in the header of her 'fan board' here on this forum.

So..... we have to go to LA to see it? Is that LA as in "Los Angeles," or LA as in "Louisiana"?

I'm assuming they mean Los Angeles.

I'm guessing it will make the festivals and then be sold on DVDs. Isn't that usually how some of the small indie movies do?

I think that's pretty much what happened with Renee's "Diamonds & Guns" ... just figured this would go the same route. I guess we'll find out.

I don't know anything about the movie business, but this was my assumption too - the independent films are often released in regional areas, not only for exposure, but to perhaps get financial backing to bring the movie to a wider audience.
It's all about the money, honey. Or maybe not. Dunno. I thought though that's why Redford started The Sundance Film Festival - so independent filmmakers without a lot of financial resources would have a venue to showcase their work. How does, exactly, a movie make it to nationwide boxoffices? It seems it would take a whole lot of money.
