Ellie: It would be best for you if you just reworked the story, taking out what isn't yours and going on from there. You can take out everyone else's stuff and then fill in those blocks of missing writing with something else. With new characters and scenes of your own creation. Actually, I don't think you'd really have to fill in the parts that you cut. The scenes with the other bards wouldn't really mess up your character's storylines at all once cut. They were subplots anyhow. Just create a new subplot to replace it with, or don't replace it at all.
Those characters, and their storylines, would disappear from your Amazon storyline anyhow, so there's no point in leaving them in. Readers would just be wondering where they went to and why they were even there in the first place.

Good luck. And, actually, I'd been thinking about using my stuff in both the Whoosher House and Merry Land threads as fodder for my self-publishing venture. I'd have to change the name of Whoosher House, and why my character was there ... and I need to figure out just where I'm going with Merry Land. I'm still stumped on how to not make Havanna come off as Phalon. And, of course, I'd have to take out the stuff that belongs to others, like the 'Bates Motel' and the like. I could probably keep the real people, like 'Typhoid Mary' and the pirates though. But that won't be worked on any time soon. It's just something brewing in the back of my mind.

Nice post, Aphrodite. I've added it here.
If anyone would rather post their own stuff, instead of me copying/pasting, you can do like Moonglum & Vox and join Runboard to post it yourself. All I ask is that you check to make sure that thread is up to date before adding to it. If it isn't, just PM me, or post here, to let me know and I'll get on it ASAP so that you can add your post.

is anyone still reading this or making story lines for it?

is anyone still reading this ... I am but mainly because I have this compulsion to read everything that comes up as "un-read" ... Unfortunately, I haven't started from the beginning. If I read something that has promise, I usually try to go back and read what has come before.

is anyone still reading this or making story lines for it? Hi Ellie. I took my characters off onto the Whoosher thread because I wanted to explore other avenues. Maybe it's time for one (or more) to return. I havn't written very much this past year, family health issue's mean I don't get a lot of free time, but who knows what tomorrow may bring.

This is usually how it goes. Bards post a lot, and then nothing for ages, then they start posting a lot once again. It just depends on what's going on at the time. Unless you intend to leave the tribe and join the others, you can post as much as you want, since your part of the story is separate from the others. No one is going to get upset with you 'hogging' the thread. They'll only get miffed if you 'borrow/steal' their characters/creations without permission. So, post away.

Very good. The posts have been copied/pasted to Whoosh's sister board. If you edit, please let me know so that I can make corrections on the other board. Thanks. Or, do like Moonglum and post both here and there so that you have control over editing both posts yourselves.

Just wanted to say Scraps woke me up, so I blame her for any mayhem that I cause. Going to read the story thread the next couple of days and see what toys I can bring to the game. Nice to be back & waving hello to those that made it out of the house of a year in three days.

The House of Whoosher story can still be added to, but not on this forum. Proboards doesn't allow for adult content, but Runboard does ... to an extent.

Do I look ok? Dang, I knew I should have at least brushed my hair this morning.
Great post, Tami! I especially enjoyed this line:
Bwha-ha-ha! 'The Greek is slow'....so true...on so many levels.
Like getting around to finishing that post I promised Scrappy months ago, for example.
Hey, Moonglum! Hope you're enjoying your vacation.
