My sister's computer beat Phalon's to biting the dust. Thankfully the geeks were able to retrieve all her files and put them on an external harddrive that she bought on the spot.

Shoot... I'm bettin' ya that it's the crickets I heard chirping. They got in there. It's the next level of virus...called bugged. I personally have some inchworms running the horsepower in mine these days. Evil glares do not make them disintegrate.

Well, that explains a lot. I suppose threatening to send them to their room without dinner doesn't do a whole lotta good either.

It makes them spread..... I am on my lunch @ work and therefore will not respond in the manner nor words that naturally spring to my fingertips. But... that's what she said (that's a PG-rated, primetime viewing slot acceptable response. )

I just spit tea all over my lap...top. You are bad.

Tea is good for you... in moderation. But it is a beverage...does not perform lap dances. Although.... (innocent birds whistling in my brain). Ahem... you know, slurping is acceptable in some cultures as a show of appreciation for the work of the cook. Not that slurping and spilled tea on your lap have anything in common. Just on my work lunch again and it's been a hectic morning. Thank you for the opportunity to exercise my humor.

Thank you for sharing it. I imagine your work people don't appreciate it like they should.

When I say that a lot of things are lost in translation, I mean it, so I do not try my humor.
However, I am learning a lot about the culture of the Dominican Republic and my Spanish is getting better every day.

Wait....you moved to the Dominican republic! Holy cow! What happened to Virginia or South Carolina or Georgia or whichever redneck state you lived in???

See... lost in translation. Moved to Georgia, work for a guy from the Dominican Republic.

HA! Ok I feel dumb.
I was right about the redneck state though.

Chew Chew Chew Spit.
The red dribbles down their chests in some places. And any day I travel away from my town, I am in fear of running into Honey Boo Boo, Sugar Mama or Sugar Bear. Real life conversations do no come with subtitles. I'd be lost. From what I gather, they are from an area about an hour north and east from me.

OMG......I'd die. I'd be screaming for a library that had some actual books instead if magazines with cows and super models or comic books.

Hey, now... I like supermodels and comic books... and some cows are really cute. But the town where I am is basically a golf resort area run by a really rich family. Not the fanciest place if you're not on the resort, but it is quiet, which is nice. The big noise is up in Atlanta and there's a large military-heavy (Ft. Benning) city to the south - Columbus - less than an hour. Don't want to go to Atlanta, but Columbus isn't bad. They have a Barnes & Nobel...at least until it gets closed. And I do have a library card for the little county one.
Plus, I have stories in my head that keep me entertained.

Phalon - nice. Such limited perception for one so wise and mind-freed... in *my* hands, it was a sword... hmmmfff... bet your little brother disagreed heartily. I shall get to working on something in the very near future. May your computer have better days ahead or in the ground and replaced, yeah?

Yes, I think people often have limited perceptions of themselves. Scrappy, for example, thinks of Phalon as an old hag....when in actuality she is not too far behind.

If we weren't talking about fictional characters I might be offended at that.

If we weren't talking fictional characters, I most definitely would be offended by the old hag reference.
She's only fortyish btw - too young to be considered either old or haggish...except perhaps very, very early in the morning.

You could always find out.
I'm thinking though Tami is going to take it from here. So if there is any advantage taking of Scrappy's situation she will be the one to pay for it.

And the cake box has been opened. Dare I show my gluttony or stick to my diet? Decisions, decisions. I'm breaking out in a sweat here. I can't handle the pressure. *gasp* But she has a collar... Shame Malory can't read minds, too. Otherwise, she'd be laughing her butt off at the situation. I'll work a little subtle (yeah, right) humor in there, I'm sure.
LMAO @ subtle
