Thanks everyone. And in case anyone is wondering I have the gasoline thing worked out already. Unless, and I'd like all opinions, do you think I should just give it up and trade the bike in for a horse?

Scrappy, if you've got it worked out, go for it. When I read The Lover & Gabriel's Woman by Robin Schone, I was surprised at the modern day conveniences the filthy rich people had in the nineteenth century (1800 - 1899). Hot & cold running water, showers, toilets ... can't remember what else at the moment.
So, if Scrappy is clever enough to figure it out, and whatever she needs was available back then ... go for it.

All of the stuff is readily available. The only thing is would it be believable?

Believable? You and your motorcycle ended up in the past & you were healed by an empath who is also from the future, so why wouldn't something that actually existed be believable?
My vote is use it.

Trade in the bike for a horse?!! No, no, no! Phalon's ridden a horse nearly all her life, but a bike......the wind in her hair, sun on her face...uhm bugs in her teeth; the power, the speed. She's lovin' it. (which actually gives me an idea for my next post)
She, and therefore I, vote to keep the bike for awhile.
Great post, Poppet.
Ok...what have you done now? Crashed the car after taking it without permission? Invited 100 of your closest friends over to the house for a spur-of-the-moment all-night teenage movie marathon?
Brought the damned leeches from your dreams and released them in Phalon's bedroll?

All of the stuff is readily available. The only thing is would it be believable? I don't think that comes into it Scrappy. If it's possible, then it's believable. People (hopefully) are reading a fantasy, they are prepared to accept the unbelievable and the improbable. I think it comes down to a question of what you feel comfortable with writing and riding. Go for it. You can always develop engine failure later on!

after reading scrappy's last post from my mom's kindle, i got this great idea in my head. still a buncha stuff to do here before i head back home, but i did have time to write something up. i hope you guys like it.
note to the bards: "drew" is just a generic shop owner, anyone can use him. one thing, though; he only speaks greek, and has a huge crush on ellie; so when ellie said to mention her name to get a discount, she meant it. other than that, have fun with him.

question. just realized phalon touched me. wouldn't she have seen some of my past or something when she touched me...? just a thought.

Nice posts!
Ellie: Just last night I had a thought about creating a thread where the bards can put "community" characters ... characters that everyone are allowed to use. I'll create it next, and you can add Drew and anyone else to it. Other bards too.
Phalon: The thing ya'll are gonna kill me for is not on this board. (It is on the Story Train board though.) Of course, you're only gonna kill me if you are intrigued enough to join in.

question. just realized phalon touched me. wouldn't she have seen some of my past or something when she touched me...? just a thought. Phalon can control her gift most of the time. Like teenagers sometimes display "selective hearing", Phalon has "selective seeing". There may be times images hit her out of the blue when she touches another, but for the most part it's something she can turn off or on at will. Other times, when she's extremely tired, or getting jostled in large crowd, she'll get hit by a barrage of visions she never intended on seeing. At all times, the visions aren't entirely clear or complete, and she's left to interpret their meanings. Great posts, everyone. Vox, I'm loving the history you've got going! Oh, no, no, no.....! (hhmmm....didn't I start off my first post in this story with those exact same words?) Are you insane, woman? Not sure if I'm asking that question of myself or directing it at you. But not this time, Joxie....I will NOT be sucked into another of these things.....yet, anyway!

Man, it was such a good idea at the time, and it wouldn't leave me alone until I set it all up, and _then_ I thought: "Holy Mackerel, What did I just do!?" And now I go back and forth on whether or not to keep it or delete it. [Delete it??? After _all_ that hard work? Yeah, I think it's here to stay.]
I've been on a vampire kick of late, and I don't see them ever showing up at Whoosher House. I think of Whoosher House as more or less a ghost-type story, and demons, but not a vamp, zombie, werewolf type story. So, I thought having anything and everything show up at "Merry Land" would solve the problem, and there'd never be a need to start a new story train.
"Merry Land" is a playground with lots of different type thrills. So can have any genre type story all going on in the _one_ story thread. And I was hoping it might bring in more bards who wanted to join before, but just weren't interested in the story trains going on at present. Was also thinking that each site might be in its own thread? Like a thread called "Zombie Island"?
Input on what to use, how to use it, and what not from bards and readers would be greatly appreciated. Doesn't matter if you write in it or not.

my brother decided i'm "too stressed out," and ordered me to relax. he's letting me borrow his laptop to do so. so i'll fix my post and post my next post. sorry again for the major screw-up. i totally suck. hope everyone likes how i fixed it. i didn't want to delete all that dialog, because that would require deleting a character. so, now that that's fixed, back to our program already in progress. lol.

I created a lot of characters for the House. I was tempted to bring a few more in here but thought no, just stick with one or two. Hope you enjoy what you read.
