CHALLENGE 2 Today's challenge is simple. How many other words can you make from the word: INFESTATIONS A few rules: You may post as many words at a time as you wish. You may not repeat someone else's word. The first person to post a word gets the points. The point system is as follows: 3 letter words = 1 point 4 letter words = 2 points 5 letter words = 3 points 6 letter words = 4 points 7 letter words = 5 points 8 letter words = 6 points 9 letter words = 7 points 10 letter words = 8 points Any 11 letter word will be worth 15 points. And if anyone can come up with another 12 letter word from that one will get 50 points. I will keep a running total of everyone's points. I suggest you keep a general idea of your own in case I miscount. I will start the tallying today. Last post will be accepted no later than noon my time Wednesday. That's 3 pm for Phalon and Mia and...I'm afraid Kat will have to do his own time zone calculations it gives me a headache. Any questions? (Who am I kidding I know there will be) The winner of this challenge will receive several blankets and pillows to make their camp life just a little easier. In addition the winner will also select someone to go to Exile Iceberg for a chance to get the hidden immunity idol. GOOD LUCK! OH! One more thing....any word I have questions about and can't find in my Ecyclopedia Britanica Webster's three volume dictionary will be disqualified.

Any questions? (Who am I kidding I know there will be) Question O Mighty and Benevolent One ................... do we post em here or in a PM? You know, because of the unfair advantage thingy. OH! One more thing....any word I have questions about and can't find in my Ecyclopedia Britanica Webster's three volume dictionary will be disqualified. But what if it's in my FOUR volume Ecyclopedia Britanica Webster's dictionary? Just in case we post them here. 1. Station. 2. Nation. 3. Feast. Twelve points already, I've got this one in the bag. ;D Edit to add more words. It is FINE to SIT here and watch the FINS upon the water and the birds NEST in the crags. Another seven points, that makes errrrrr add the two and carry the four ............................ nineteen in total.

Question O Mighty and Benevolent One ................... do we post em here or in a PM? I could get used to that....oh benevolent one...lol Here is fine...I told everyone when I was going to post it and everyone had a chance to jump in. Plus there are plenty of opportunities for points. So go for it. Looks like Jox is kicking everyone's butt. But what if it's in my FOUR volume Ecyclopedia Britanica Webster's dictionary? Um...no...my own official dictionary ONLY. And I am keeping a running list of everyones words and points.

I could get used to that....oh benevolent one...lol Yeah well I figured sucking up to the one who wields the power can never go astray. And on that note, point of order Madam Chairperson [ O Mighty and Benevolent One ] another official protest from Badloser. One contestant, Simetra, has plagiarised several of my words in what can only be described as a nefarious attempt to elevate herself to the forefront of this particular challenge. Something go egregious must, I'm sure you'll agree, be dealt with swiftly and severely, so if I may be so presumptuous as to offer a suitable course of action may I suggest the revocation of all the guilty parties [ Simetra's ] points and their transference to the injured party [ yours truly ] I await your judgment safe in the knowledge it will be both just and wise. P.S. I'm still scanning Tohellnback's answers for similar indiscretions which if found will be brought promptly to your attention. Faint. Saint. Fiesta. Siesta. Oh what's the point, if the ruling goes against me I'm cactus anyway. ;D

Oh, and add "oft" to my list, if you would be so kind.
I can assure you, Suck Up...er, I mean Katina, that no similar indiscretions will be found in my list, (crossing fingers I deleted them all off before hitting "post reply").
But uhm...isn't the following kinda the pot calling the kettle black?
HA! Still grumbling you wouldn't play on bob-coaster with me. Oh, and of course, just saving a bit of work for our O Mighty and Benevolent One Hostess with the Mostess, Scrappy Probstess. Cuz it never hurts to suck up.

HOLY COW!
You know..I woke up in my nice cush....er...totally bare and depressing hotel room this morning thinking it was going to be an easy day.
Hell what did I do with that notepad.....*scribble....scribble.....(frown)...scribble
Yes but....there's a point at which being a sycophant is just icky...
Yes yes...I am keeping track. Rest assured anyone who has repeated a word or posted one previously posted WILL NOT receive the points for those words. Also...I'm afraid there are no points given for two letter words either.
Nice try...but....NO
Oh boy...now you're pushing your luck.
Sure....it's not like it's going to be a close game or anything...LOL

But uhm...isn't the following kinda the pot calling the kettle black? Ahhhh yes, well, ummmm there's a perfectly reasonable and logical explanation for that and errrrrrrrr, as soon as I think of it I'll let you know what it is. Cuz it never hurts to suck up. You're right, but I've got a good head start on ya so you better get a move on. ;D

Yes but....there's a point at which being a sycophant is just icky... I fully concur [ some people just have no pride ] and being the knowledgeable and wise person you are I'm sure you'll let me know if I ever come close to reaching that point. Oh well, ya never know if ya don't have a go. Oh boy...now you're pushing your luck.

Kooks like Kats got himself in some trouble. I shall refrain from taking sides. (psst Jox he doesn't run very fast)
A note to all (except Phalon). There's still time to post those words. I will post the scores as well as the lists I have around noonish tomorrow.

No worries, Kat. I thought about adding a smiley after I posted already, but then thought I'd let you sweat for a bit. Phew, if that was your intention it worked a treat Jox, I've got a bunch more gray hairs now thanks. I had this horrible notion that you may have thought I was accusing you of cheating with all that drivel I wrote, when of course that thought never crossed my mind. Anything said on 'Whoosh Island' is just fun -n- games. Serious talk can be taken outside. You step outside first ... then I'll close and lock the door.
(psst Jox he doesn't run very fast) You'd be surprised at how fast I can run ................. well over five yards at least.

Ok folks. TIMES UP! Here are the results. (thank god for Excel) Ok so I had fancy spread sheets all ready to post but it turns out they are apparently too big. So you'll just have to take my word for it. Kat = 22 Mia = 68 Phalon = 326 According to my calculations Phalon totally crushed ( get it...crushed...like ice....*snort) you guys. So here's her reward. Plus I even threw in an air matress. Ok...since Phalon is the winner she gets to pick someone to go to EXILE ICEBERG...however....before she does that I need her to pick a number between one and four.

I probably would have thought that if I hadn't played this game before. Irene broke me in to all the 'playful' backbiting, bickering, accusing and such. I still giggle about the nail file sometimes. Phalon has always been good at this game. She must watch the show. I don't, so I'm a bit at a loss sometimes.

Ah, yes...that nail file. I still have a feeling she wasn't entirely kidding about that one!
I do watch Survivor, actually. LX was just telling me last week while we were watching, that I should try out for the show. She thinks I'd be good at all the physical stuff; then I reminded her I'd probably have to lie going into the tribal council meetings. "Nevermind", she said, "you can't lie." I can't. LMAO. She'd asked me earlier that day what I thought of her outfit. "Hmmmm.....nice." Red-faced with a plastered on smile, she immediately knew I was lying.
But I have to admit, in our two person office many years ago, I was champion at the "Word Game". The Washington Post had a puzzle page, and each day there was a game just like this last challenge. My boss and I used to play at lunch to see who could get the most words in the half hour break.
And lookit what I get for all those years of practice! Come on, Joxie and Katina, we've still got a while before one of you goes to exile. Pillow Fight!!!! And we've even got a trampoline to pillow fight on! Hhhmm....or a super-slick slide. I bet we can get that mattress air-borne off the coaster. Who wants to give it a try first?
Four, Scrappy.....as in the number, not a flying-through-the-air-contestant.

You know....I ALMOST said at the end of the last post that if I caught you sliding down some slope on the air matress I was going to take it away from you. pfft...I should have gone with my instincts. Too late now. Anyhoo, I now need Mia to pick a number between one and three. And then Kat needs to pick a number that wasn't picked by the other two. And then I will tell you all why. After all the numbers have been picked Phalon can reveal her exile.
And I'm hoping we can hurry this a bit...sorry I forget to mention I'm going on my annual vacation this weekend.
