Hhhmmmm.....I like the first set better. The colors feel warmer somehow; more inviting. The second picture looks cold, and I don't care for the halo-thingy.

I must admit to preferring the first set too. The colours do seem warmer and there is a greater depth of field to them.

I have to admit I liked the first ones best too. I also like that the muses are alone, and not 'supporting' . . . err, dancing around a man as the center of their focal point. 
Stephen King refers to his muses as: the boys in the basement. Jennifer Crusie refers to them as: the girls in the basement. I like that. However, I would make mine: the girls in the attic . . . or some such.
