I finally got ahld of 'Hercules the Legendary Journeys' it's very nice. I'm at a place in Thrace where you have to throw five switches in order to get to the next level. The third switch is across a chasm and I cann't get Herc across it. One online strategy guide and a bunch of different discussion forums have noted this jump but I have found nothing helpful. 'Just stand there and jump' well I've been doing this for SIIIIX DAAAAYS with no success this is really frustrating and it's so early in the game. It looks like there's another 'near impossible jump' later in the game oh wonderful....
So please put the word out maybe someobdy knows somebody who knows somebody etc etc who could help me. As a last resort I can get a gameshark which lets you do a 'moonjump' but I've never had to use cheats to get through a game.
Review so far:
The graphics are great, the controls are okay. I put it somewhere between Xena for Playstation and Xena for gameboy. The music is great...somewhat Celtic-inspired--lots of different tracks. You probably can get by without a stategy guide although i'm fortunate enough to have one (though not much help with super-jumps). Quite a bit of action--Hercules and Ioleus puch and kick, Serena uses bow and arrow although I haven't played wuth her yet--but lot s of puzzles and personal errands to run for people. It's been mostly compared to the two Zelda 64 games which I think is fair although the Zeldas are a little better (graphics and more gameplay).
Note: you will need the Controller Pak to store/save your game. I got one online and it wasn't a genuine Nintendo product. The game system does recognize a Pak is there and it will save the game but if I turn the system off I lose the whole game and have to start over aaargh. For this particular game I strongly recommend a genuine Nintendo Controller Pak.
This is a year 2000 game which goes to show har far behind I really am in gameplaying. Working for a living sure interferes with my social life....
Thanks in advance everyone.
