Here is where you can discuss your game plans. I promise I won't come back in here unless needed. And only if Scrappy isn't available. And the password will change when the groups are reassigned. Enjoy your stay.

Helloooooo? Anybody out there.
Ah, well...FruitDepp and I will just sit here and wait, and much on these nice little meat pies he brought. Kinda gamey, though.

K, I've added in a few links to Moonglum's answers. I'll check for others later. Pictures anyone? We pretty much might as well admit defeat unless we get pictures. 1. Banana or Mango trees. living.oneindia.in/christmas/2006....lebrations.html2. Christmas trees are not commonly used in Greece. In almost every home the main symbol of the season is a shallow wooden bowl with a piece of wire is suspended across the rim; from that hangs a sprig of basil wrapped around a wooden cross. A small amount of water is kept in the bowl to keep the basil alive and fresh. Once a day, a family member, usually the mother, dips the cross and basil into some holy water and uses it to sprinkle water in each room of the house. This ritual is believed to keep the Killantzaroi away from the house. There is a tradition kallikantzeri, where the mischievous goblins appear from the earth during the 12 days of Christmas. www.santas.net/greekchristmas.htm3. Traditionally, in the weeks between his arrival and December 5, before going to bed, children put their shoes next to the fireplace chimney of the coal fired stove or fireplace, or, in modern times, next to the central heating. The shoe is to have a carrot or some hay in it and a bowl of water "for Sinterklaas' horse," and the children sing a Sinterklaas song; the next day they will find some candy or a small present in their shoes. When a house has no chimney, Sinterklaas or Black Pete is said to enter using his special key that fits on every door in the Netherlands. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SinterklaasK, I've added in a few links. I'll check for others later.

Hello, hello. No excuse for me being here by myself anymore - you've all got the super-secret password multiple times now it seems.
Loading up my photobucket account with a bunch of pictures I'm deleting as soon as this thing is over, (why do I feel the need to clean it out, when my desk is so messy).
Unless anyone else wants to do pictures, (because hot-linking is not allowed - hell, I've been here forever and I don't even know what hot-linking is), I'll get to the rest of them later.
Cuz I feel bad....for not letting you into this little Reindeer game thread earlier. (eye-roll)

Yep, me as well, "finally" but we won't go into that. You two have done a great job, I feel like a slacker for letting you both do all the work. Now all we need is Ms Palooza and we're a team ............ hey Lola, ya out there?

Thanks for all the answers, Moonglum. I hope you don't mind if I expanded on a few of them, because when I went back to try and find links and photo, it seemed a lot of answers varied from site to site.
So I just copied more information to what you already provided just to make sure all bases were covered, figuring Hostess Probstess will probably get tired of reading and give up after the answer to the first question. Confuse the hell out of her is the method that I'm using, and if that fails there's always bore the hell out of her.

Crap. I'll be honest and say my eyes bugged out of my head when I saw this challenge. A fifteen-page essay on the first day of school? Sigh. I feel really bad, you guys. Based on the amount of time I spent on just the first five or six, I know Phalon and moonglum gave up a good chunk of their lives. So thanks be to you. I don't know if there's time yet but at least I can share a photo that might help with another point, a little more specific. I am a huge handicap when it comes to photos because I don't know how to post one, so if someone is so inclined and able, could you move these over there? #3 - marcela2001spanje.web-log.nl/photos/uncategorized/schoen_zetten.jpg#4 - mentalfloss.cachefly.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/440rigatree.jpg I don't even know if there's still time.

Oh, and here's a christmas tree for #1. It's the real deal since the kids are standing in front of it. Right? The leaves on the tree sure look broad enough. www.deshvidesh.com/issues/desh807/Images/Christmas_kids.JPGI only got as far as number six on the list before the search for pictures took it's toll. Looks like Phalon got those same pictures.

I must admit I went a bit screen-happy after a while. lol.

I think it might be too late, Lola. I dunno - there's that time limit she put on it; I wonder what happens to banana trees and kids when they're past the expiration date?
Of course, if anyone knows how to turn back the time on their computer, we could probably figure out how to post it with a time before whatever is 11am Scrappy time. (I can't even figure out the time difference, so I'm no help there).
Hey, I know. Let's ask Probstess; I'm sure she'll know.
<still shaking head and rolling eyes over her speeding up the time to grow virtual plants faster>
And she wonders why her computer(s) died.
And yes, Scrappy, I know you can read in here. And yes, I am making fun of your geekiness.

Excellent point about her 'plants'. Have you seen the pictures? Just nod and say you looked, their beautiful, you have a prolific virtual green thumb. I think by playing Mother Time and messing with the natural growth of said plants, she inadvertantly sped up the clock on her computers and they believed it was time for them to die.
Kat, moonglum, if you don't know what that's about *coughyou'reluckycough* just ask her, she's quite proud of them.
