"The Descent" was a terrific scary movie. Lots of girlpower and scares (and lots of gore, so be prepared).

I've never seen it, but with all these recommendations, I just might have to scout it out at the video store.
Hmmm....how scary is it? Watch alone scary, watch alone with one eye closed and the other squinting through a hand shielding it, or does it come with a definate DO NOT WATCH AlONE warning?

I watched it alone. But then I watch everything alone.
You probably won't want to watch it alone. You'll probably want to watch it with both eyes closed.

I avoid scary movies, and don't remember how I happened to see this one at the theater. But I'm very glad I did. I thought of it as a cinematic thrill ride. It didn't disturb me the way "Rosemary's Baby" or the original "The Haunting" did. Those are on my "Don't watch alone" list. This one left me exhilarated.
