Do You Think Elizabeth Swann Is Falling For Jack Sparrow? Why? Why Not?
***** DO NOT discuss At World's End in this thread. If you have seen that movie and know the true answer, start a new thread and discuss it there instead. Thank You. *****
Warning!
If you haven't yet seen this movie, you might want to do so before reading this thread.

I've only seen Curse of the Black Pearl & Dead Man's Chest as of this post. And I think that both times the compass pointed at Jack is because he just happened to be standing between the compass and Will. Had he been standing anywhere else, the compass would have still pointed in the same direction . . . towards Will.
And please, no At World's End discussions in this thread! I don't want to know what's going to happen until I watch it for myself. Start a new thread. And give a warning so I know to stay out of that thread until after I've seen the movie. Thank You.

Yep I'd say she's definitely falling for him, think it's the teeth that most attract her. You could have knocked me down with a feather when they both got killed at the end of "At World's End" totally caught me by surprise.
Whoops.
;D
Sorry Jox, couldn't resist that, haven't seen "Dead Man's Chest" yet let alone the new one, so have no idea how it ends.

Well, if you hadn't seen At World's End, how did you know they both die at the end? I got the DVD for Christmas and have now seen it. Actually, I'd seen clips on YouTube, so I already knew how it was going to end, and who dies. The DVD wasn't even out yet, so I didn't think the videos would be able to contain spoilers. Boy, was I wrong. I guess people take their camcorders to the movies with them.
So, it's okay to discuss all 3 movies in here now. Just give a warning and use spoiler space in case others haven't seen it yet.

S P O I L E R S What, you mean they actually cark it in the finish? Think it's on Foxtel here shortly, guess I'll have a look at it but the second one really turned me off, nowhere near as good as the first IMO.

OMG! Are you kidding? I thought the second movie was better than the first. And the first movie was really good. Although the first time I saw it I was disappointed that Will & Elizabeth didn't spend much time together. The more times I saw it though, the better I liked it.
No worries if you didn't much care for it though. Different tastes is a good thing. If everyone thought like me, Woody Allen wouldn't have been a household name.

However, I was disappointed in the third movie. Most likely because I had such high expectations. I plan on watching it again after a bit to see if I like it better after viewing with a different (lower) attitude. That may improve my view of it.
It's definitely worth a watch, Kat. If you didn't like the second movie, I doubt you'll much care for the third. But there were scenes worth watching, so do give it a go. And then you'll find out whether or not I'm pulling your leg about Jack & Elizabeth dying.

Maybe it's just my weird taste Jox, but I couldn't get into the second one at all, seemed to lack the freshness and zest of the first, or possibly it was just the fact that sequels rarely live up to the original film, I dunno. And you're right of course, would be a bit boring, not to mention more then a little strange, if we all liked the same thing I guess. Agree with you about Woody Allen, can take him or leave him myself, preferably leave. S * P * O * I * L * E * R * * * S * P * A * C * E However, I was disappointed in the third movie. I wondered what that was and now I find out it was you tugging on my leg, ummmmmm so they don't die ........ or maybe they do, I'll find out in the fullness of time.

Mums the word on Jack & Elizabeth. But wait until you get a load of Jack's mother! And wait until you find out who his father is. Those two things are worth a look. You can throw tomatoes at me if I'm wrong.
