You just cannot Copa with the cabana issue.
I didn't scull long. I thought Row vs. wade was a political group, not a 4am rowing thing.

Row vs Wade - I thought that was our one-time duel - you in the boat and I in the pool. Wade, I think I must have just now dreamt it. Falling asleep at the keyboard. Night.

May I just say........I think it is great women have the right to wear skivvies but sheeshamonga, those volleyball outfits are just......I dunno. Sure women are smart multi-taskers and all-get a suntan while playing volleyball but.....
Does anyone else feel this?
I wish they would wear tight shirts and short rather than bikinis. And the indoor teams are maybe worse. The Cubans today gave new meaning to dig as they seemed to spend more time getting their shorts back out where they belonged.
I guess it is the balance to me. Is it about sexuality or sports? Course I am talking Olympics which began buffo. But then the men should be doing move sexy stuff. Bikini shorts and such, no?

Oh, yes, Olympics.
I really like watching the beach volleyballers.
And, oh, what an exciting marathong.

Yes, those beach volleyball uniforms are something, aren't they? They've got to be the most uncomfortable outfits in the entire Olympics, with all the diving in the sand and such. And the digs. Those women have True Grit for sure. Probably ends up on the floor when they change.

I keep thinking all of that suntan lotion, sheen-all going down the shower drain. Oh, the plumbing bills.
The guys look so comfy. I was thinking those tight swim shirt things would work well and prevent skin cancer at the same time.

You have a good point there. How can someone concentrate on their game when they spend so much time pulling their bikini out of their bum crack? I think I would rather wear spandex shorts at a time like that. Still cool in the searing heat, yet tight enough to keep most of the sand out. I would probably still wear the kind of bikini top they're wearing though, because of the heat, but with plenty of sunscreen.

I too have marveled at the lack of material on the women's volleyball teams ;D-- I am assuming a man must of designed them becaue they lack practicality or coverage lol.
Now for my true subject- Where in God's name did they get these moronic Gymnastic judges? Thankfully the crowd in the arena had better sense then they did and kept whistling and yelling til they changed the score - granted not enough to give the man the medal he so rightly deserved.
Poor Paul Haun fell victim to these idiotic judges yet again- I think he was almost grateful to have it be silver- even though he tied for first.
Ithink that all these so called judges should be fired and only former athletes should judge - you know ppl who have actually had to do the elements and know a good routine when they see one!

Great moments come out of great unfairness, and it was great hearing that crowd crying out in the interest of fairness. The reporters said that nothing like that outcry had ever happened in the Olympics before, and the crowd's reaction to the situation was a great thing to witness!
As for Paul Hamm, I have lost respect for him. First off, he didn't even bother to shake the hand of the wonderful Russian for calming the crowd down before Paul's routine, after he himself was screwed by the judges. Secondly, after seeing all the men compete, I don't think Paul did well enough, compared to the other men, to earn even a bronze, much less a silver or gold; yet he accepted it as though he deserved it. Lastly, and this is the worst part, he didn't express an opinion of any amount of unfairness in his interview after the whole fiasco, and acted like he deserved that silver medal.
I agree, the judges should be people who have actually done what they're judging... and they also need to be fair in their judging. Anyone with any common sense could tell that the scores were all wrong in the high beam competition. Heck, even the judges who were fired for the all-around did a better job of scoring, because they were at least close to right. Apparently, they gave the correct scores; they just didn't score it correctly (low start value minus not enough deductions inadvertently came to correct score in the Korean's case).

It just goes to show how lack of coverage in certain areas, (despite all the television cameras - their hind sight is 20/20, no?), does not bother these women with the true grit in their suits. Wow, the gold medal match, (as well as the bronze yesterday). Too exciting. The Brazilian team was fabulous - but so were Misty May and Carrie Walsh. Great game, and nice to see them win the gold.
And one of the first things Misty May did after they scored the final point and started celebrating? Pull her bottoms out of her bum.

I watched the Triathalon today. That was good. Another skivy event. It is really something to see someone bicycling in a swimsuit. They should all have Suntan lotion as sponsors.
What a finish, though. That former Austrailian now Austrain really zoomed at the end past the straining Austrailian. So frustrating that. I really had to type that one sentence slowly by the way.

Yes, where'd that Austrian come from? Besides Australia, I mean. One minute there was no one in sight - then the next, she was sprinting ahead. Wow.
The American gal that came in third - was she the one I saw crash into the wall when they first got on the bikes? Ouch in bare feet and bathing suit.

Okay, well the Olympics are now winding down. I had a chance to watch some more tonight and will continue my analysis of Olympic wear.
Jamaicans were great in the baton race but the off the shoulder outfits. Pfftt. I just don't go for the super short running wear at all. What is the purpose? The men don't wear that. But in pole vault everyone should wear those tights/shorts. The slow motion gets me on the pole vault.
I missed seing the weightlifters, hammer throwers and all boxing and judo. Seems very quiet in that area.
I like the Morrocan runner fella. Cannot remember his name as it is pretty long. He was great. And the Morrocon country's music was super interesting.
Oh, and the Argentinian basketball team, outstanding. Who knew that b-ball was a big sport in Argentina? I didn't.
I would have to say that in this Olympics my favorite sports were gymnastics and ladies beach volleyball.

Yep, it was great to see the Morrocan runner come blasting through the field from behind. And such emotion.
I saw a few rounds of that hammer toss thing and my only thoughts were that the judges have to have nerves of steel. Geeze, they get way too close to that thing for my comfort. I'd be judging from the sidelines.
My favorite events this Olympics - beach volleyball, rowing, and swimming.

It is funny but now I prefer beach volleyball to indoor. The indoor volleyball just seems crowded to me. I think it is cuz they are so tall. I kept wanting to enlarge the court and raise the net or something. I do like the running serves, though.
I really thought the interview with the Silver medalist USA men's team was bad bad. Made the guys feel bad. They were being gracious and the interviewer asked them if they were dissapointed, several times. Have a heart. Man.

Nah, I felt no pity for them. Way too cocky going in, although, yes they were being somewhat gracious during the interview.
I missed the women's 4 x 100 yesterday. Now that sounded like a heartbreaker.
