Dave always gets it wrong. We all know a Dave, let's face it we've all got a bit of Davishness in us. This Dave however, has to be the king of Planet Dave.
Conversations with Dave go something like this.
MG. "Ian"
Dave. "Yes"
MG. "Why does everybody call you Dave?"
Dave. "Dunno"
MG. "How's work?"
Dave. "S'alright. I am sick of it. I want to do something else. Dad said why not try gardening. But I said no, I don't want to be stuck inside, I want to be out and about"
MG (thinks) Let it go!!
Dave "They've changed my working week as well. Now I have to work four days and only get two days off"
At this point MG decides life is too short and says.
MG "See you later Dave"

LMAO, Moonglum! Too funny.
Oh, and after all this time, I don't think I've ever formally introduced myself.
Hi. My name is Phalon; you can call me Dave. And I am a Davishnessoholic.

I can hardly type this for laughing. I swear by Lord Dave Almighty that this is true.
MG "Hiya Dave, have a good weekend?"
Dave "Yeah, not bad."
MG "Do anything exciting?"
Dave "I went to a singles night at the pub."
MG "O-ho, did you get lucky?"
Dave "No, nobody else turned up!"
MG chokes on his beer and collapses in a heap.

It looks like Dave has moved and is now working for Birmingham City Council (UK).
The council was very pleased at the people of the city for their efforts at recycling. They broke all previous records during the last year. So the council put together a leaflet (flyer?), and sent one to each household. The leaflet praised all residents for their efforts and featured on its cover, a beautiful view of the Birmingham skyline.
Unfortunately it was Birmingham......Alabama.
Nice one Dave.

You're kidding, yes, Moonglum? City council was so pleased with everyone's recycling effort, that they sent flyers, (leaflets...pamplets works too), to praise them? This was a test, right? To see how many ended up in the trash vs. how many made it to the recycling bin? I hope it was printed on recycled paper.
No - seriously, are you serious? Birmingham, Alabama? I can't figure out if you're kidding....but either way, too funny.

All true I'm afraid, Phalon. It was on the tv news last night.

Sounds like Dave's got some explaining to do then! At least Birmingham Alabama is beautiful this time of year....if you enjoy heat, humidity, and bugs the size of small dogs. That last part I can personally attest to; I spent a little bit of time in Alabama once. They grow them big down there!

Daves throughout history....
In 1956, East Germany honored native composer, Robert Schumann, by featuring him on a stamp. The design included a commemorative portrait against the backdrop of one of his musical scores.
The musical manuscript they used was that of fellow composer Franz Schubert.
