Survivor Richard Hatch: fellow inmates "think they know me, so it's an interesting experience"
Richard Hatch talked to a reporter by phone yesterday from his new home at a minimum security prison in Morgantown, and said that, “people know my name … there are 1,300-plus inmates who think they know me, so it’s an interesting experience,” he said.
Most of those inmates are apparently fans of Survivor, which should give CBS’ marketing department a lot to work with next season. “They all have questions — want to know what this experience is like and what `Survivor’ was about,” Hatch told The Dominion Post of Morgantown.
Currently, he’s adapting to prison life while maintaining his innocence. “I’m doing lots of intake stuff, like clothing and getting to know the place … but I don’t think I will adjust to any of this until I can prove I was unethically prosecuted,” he said.
He’s also working on a book. “I’m focused on writing what has gone so terribly wrong,” he said.
