The first one is the version downloaded from one of my CDs. The other, is the version I scanned in portions and then stitched the portions together on the computer. Unfortunately I haven't been able to remove all the stitch lines yet. Anyway, I went over the drawing and worked on the shading a bit so it looks more three dimensonal and less flat. Plus the hair color looks more normal.

I don't know - I like them both. The pinkiness and bright colouring of the first one appeals to me most initially, but the shading on the second does add something extra, and I agree about the hair colour. Both are excellent!

Yep, I've been looking for a place to stick a "Happy Birthday" to you in, and this seems like a good one. So, Happy Belated Birthday, and I hope it was a good one.
I agree with Catcob and Eirene...I think both pictures are excellent, but I lean toward the second one as the one I prefer. Along with the hair, I like the lip color better, as it seems more natural than the bright pink.
I do like the background better in the first one, as the yellow fades into the oranger tones...I'm assuming that is what you meant by the "stitch lines"? In the second one, a straight line between the two colors is very distinct....but that is the only line that is visible to me, and if you hadn't mentioned that it was pieced together, I never would have been able to notice.

Thanks everyone. although the first (CD version) looks a bit flat and lacks depth, I also like the bright colors as well. And while the colors on the second aren't as alive, the extra shading adds depth to the features that the first didn't have so I've decided to keep them both on my yahoo photo album. And thanks for the kind b-day wishes.  |
