Because I waen't using a photo to work from but my own imagination, the proportion's a bit off. I just wanted to try to create something original.

I'm gonna have to go through and redo it and try to fix the proportions. It just dosen't look right. This is always the problem I have when I don't have any pic references to work from.

Here it is again after I played with the colors a bit. Still don't like the proportions though.

I don't know, Rsine...the porportions look ok to me....just maybe one little suggestion though? Xena's arm may be too long in relation to her body. Most people's elbows hit around the small of their backs. The way you've got it drawn, if extended, it would hit around mid-rear. Perhaps it's just the way I'm seeing it.
And a little more definition in the muscles in her upper arm?
Sorry; I should so not try this constructive suggestion thing.

You making fun of my "big guns", Q? I've always had a lot of upper body strength - since competively swimming in high school anyway, when my coach used to tell me I might as well not have legs; doing all the work with my arms. Not sure why all the recent comments people have made about them, except maybe it is the roller skiing thing that has made them bigger - didn't realize I'd use the poles as hard as I do.
And Xena's arms...I just think more definintion might be there....or in anyone's arm, if held in that position.

definitely not making fun p....perhaps shades of the green-eyed monster peeking thru a bit on this end... ....have noticed with all the parade-waving practice lately that mine are not quite as tight as they use to be.....

I'll send my harpoon poles down that way then, javelin style. (rolls eyes) Or maybe you can give Bob a call and get some of those Nordic Ski Walking poles; retail: 68-something-or-other. (another eye roll). Actually, I mentioned them talking to Gabbin, and she said they are all over the place out there. Can you imagine the strange looks you'd get down south walking the neighborhood with ski-poles in summer?
Sorry, Rsine, for straying off subject on your thread. The picture is very nice; amazing how you captured Gabrielle's look so perfectly with just an eye and the line of her cheek.
