Very nice Rick... I always love your colors, they jump out at you, but they don't distract from the artwork.

Thanks. I just use Prismacolor pencils. I couldn't get her hand holding the chakram to look right so I had to crop it.

You're welcome, Rick. I came across this site just now, don't know if it would interest you though.

Actually that DOES interest me. Thanks Jox. I draw all the time but I don't know the first thing about how to paint. I just came home from work so I'm too hot and tired to look it over now. I'll do it later. I'm ALWAYS interested in learning to work in different mediums.

I agree with Marysgurl - this one is my favorite also.
Weird thing, I know, but everything else aside, the thing that jumps out at me the most; I guess the thing that I find fascinating, (I said this was weird), is the fabric of her cloak.
Always amazed that an artist can make something seem so three-dimensional on a flat sheet of paper, and the folds of material illustrate this so perfectly.
I remember, way back in art class in high school; about 52 million years ago, we spent a week just drawing material draped over an easel using different mediums. I was thrilled, and still have the picture somewhere, when with charcoal, I finally got that three-dimensional depth.
The complete package, of course, is fabulous. Nice work.

It's the best artwork by you I've seen recently. I like all the aspects in that painting (I think it's more a painting than a drawing, isn't?).

Thanks. It was just a drawing I made with Prismacolor pencils. I don't know how to paint yet. Still working on trying to get the hand to look right.

The colors and three-dimensionality are wonderfully done, Rick! It does look like you gave her a bit of an enhancement, though. I should send you a picture of me so you can enhance mine too. ;D

Hi. Gigs. If you want to email me a pic that's fine as long as the image is sharp enough for me to work from. I've always wanted to draw a portrait of you and other members here as well. Unfortunately, I'm still having trouble getting my printer to work.

I'll try to help you with the printer problem. I left a reply in the other thread just now.
