Reeeeally taking a guess here, and probably misspelling the poor man's name to boot. Just taking a guess because he was in "Sense and Sensibility" (*swoon* I LOVED that movie!)
Alan Rickman??

Hope you're right Siren, cause I'm drawing a blank on this. I know they just made a new version of this but don't think Firth is in it, so Scrappy's not referring to that one.

Ok folks...I'm fired. I'm an idiot. The "Pride and Prejudice" I was reffering to was a tv mini series apparently. I apologize. I kept thinking I had seen it on DVD. Ah well it was a good one if that helps. Shall I pick another of Mr. Firth's movies?

Doesn't matter if it was on tv, is there anybody in it that we may recognise with a few well chosen hints do ya reckon.

Well let's give it a shot shall we...
The lead actress in this movie played in another modern/flashback movie about a couple of students who find some love letters written by a couple of poets in the victorian era.
The guy who plays Mr. Bingly in this movie was also in Bridget Jones's Diary.
And the woman who plays Bingly's sister is in a recent movie based on a famous book written in the 60's I think...
LOL..hope that doesn't make it worse.

Wouldn't say it made it any worse, trouble is it didn't make it any better either.

Hi there kiddiewinkles.
Just surfing the other boards on Whoosh and found your screening room here.
I could jump in with all the names you're looking for, but I think it would be incredibly unfair for two reasons.
1. I'm in England and the P&P miniseries was bonzai, mega big here and I've got it on video.
2. My Lovely Lady Wife is sure that the only good things ever written were by Jane Austen and therefore knows absolutley everything about all her works, printed , staged and celluloided.
And Alan Rickman? Ewww, the man is a pig! A stuck up pig at that. I've met the man on a few occasions and he really was not nice. Must be the reason he was picked to play Snape in HP.
If you get totally stuck and do want the answers to P&P let me know.
Bye

There is no such thing as unfair in this game. The only thing that is considered cheating is looking it up and giving the answer without saying you did so....so if you know it feel free. In fact...bail us out..please!

Jennifer Ehle (She played Lizzy Bennet)
Film: Paradise Road

Just kiddin of course, welcome on board kt, and thanks for unraveling this for us. Not surprised you were a little confused on the rules, cause basically there are none, think we just make them up as we go along, but you were half right anyway, we were looking for another actor from P&P, then the next player names a film s/he was in, then the next another actor from that film. Hope I haven't confused you further, cause I've totally confused myself. Feel sure Scrappy will be more then happy to go with Paradise Road [ right Scrappy? ] so I'll leave it to her to nominate another actor from that, the fact that I have no idea who else was in it also has an influence.

Katie! Jumped in before I could come to the rescue We'll see what I'll do about that in a fortnight kiddo! Just kidding. Oh and you worked out the rules better than I did. I don't know the film Jagged Edge, so someone else will have to guess that one. But I believe Kat or was it Scrappy was trying to remember who played Mr Bingly in that BBC P&P, and it was Helena's little cousin, Crispin Bonham Carter.

Hi XV, checked the cast for P&P after it had been solved here, and was wondering if he was related in any way to Helena, figured he must be, Bonham Carter not being the most common name going around.
I only remember Jagged Edge from seeing it on tele KT, like you, I was much to young to remember it from it's original release [ stop laughing Scrappy ] Jeff Bridges, one of my favourites, lots of choices there, how about ......................

Well we usually stick with movies but as long as no one else objects I don't see why not. I slip one from TV in everyonce in a while.
