Don't know the exact year, but I do know it was a black and white movie, if that helps.

Ah'ha, so it was "probably" fairly old, in which case Siren would be the person to ask, she's like an encyclopedia when it comes to older films.
I'll dig around and see what I can find in the meantime though.
How long do we have, till the BD I mean?

Oh... Ellie just walked up next to me and whispered in my ear. 1951. Does that mean I can stop looking, if Ellie knows the year she knows the movie ............ right? ............. I hope.

No... she just amended that, she "thinks" it's 1951, but it might just be 1950s. But she knows that it's a Hitchcock movie... She's wracking her brain and can't think of the name of the movie, either. Aph's Bday is on the 23rd of this month.

Playing off Burt Reynolds, I'm an actor who starred with him as one of a group of friends who embark on an adventure that turns deadly, unfortunately I don't make it back but perish along the way ............ I am?

Here's one. I'm an American hired by an Austrailian, and loved by a crazy woman who becomes attached to Aboriginal baby. In the end, I kill off the bad guys, the Aboriginies hold off the British, and the crazy chick and I take a boat ride. Who am I?

Quigley Down Under, right?
You don't realize what an odd plot that movie has till it's spelled out as you did. Lol!

Lol! No, it was fine. I think it's nicer to keep the games moving than to work at making them tough. Besides, Tom's unforgettably yummy in that film. ++++++++++ My life as a housemaid has been dreary and difficult until now. I'm working for a man I admire, a kind and wealthy doctor. But I am also drawn to his mysterious, malevolent counterpart, an attraction I don't like or understand.

Thanks Jox. Ooooo, kat...you are right. there. But in this case, the lady is in the spotlight. So the film is Dr J and Mr H then? Scratching head ..... I remember Ingrid Bergman and Lana Turner as the two main female characters from the Spencer Tracy version, but I'm certain Ingrid wasn't a maid which leaves Lana, and I'm not sure she was either. I'll say Lana though .................... or how about "The Maid" from Dr J and Mr H, that's gotta be right yes?

The Communists kicked me out of my homeland and I end up in your country. I find you at a nighttime photo shoot. I lick your ankles, and you like it! I give you a dynamite hickey. Your boyfriend tried to keep us apart but in the end, you choose me. Who am I?
This is very cryptic - but the movie is identifiable from the clues. If an additional clue is appropriate let me know.
