This conversation comes from a thread on the Xena IMDb board:
Also how would clones have memories of things they didn't know from the show like how Joxer was dumber then portrayed.
Clone Memory:
Two theories:
One: Some believe that very cell in our bodies contains all our memories. Plus, since we're half our mother & father, our cells contain their memories up until we are conceived. Which goes for their parents, and theirs, and theirs, etc. (Which some believe could be the true cause of the memories of a 'past' life.) So, the clones' memories could come from their cells.
Two: The clones were shown clips from the TV series. Thus, they took those to be their true memories.
I would go with the first one, it makes better sense to me than the second one.
The first theory is interesting. Where did u get that from?
It's been so long ago I don't really remember where I learned that theory. I believe it was some scientific news report or documentary show. Not long after that I was watching a show on reincarnation, and they noted that not everyone who claims to have been 'Anne Boleyn' could have been her. And I put the two together and wondered if perhaps they are descendants instead? Although, that wouldn't explain them remembering her (their) death, since their memories should stop at the conception of her offspring.
Did a search to see what I could find:

hmm ... or perhaps it should stop at birth, since mother and child are connected while the child is still in the womb.
