Oooh. I thought I had to guess who said it and in which of the movies. Give me a bit, I wasn't ready. I shall return.

Sorry Jox, jumped the gun a bit there, I thought you had it. Is your quote from a comedy by perchance?

Well, I guessed it was an Alien movie, but I didn't say which one it might have come from, or who might have said it. Anyhoo, I've posted a quote, so I guess we'll just continue onward.
Nopers, no comedy. Tis darker. A more Halloween type movie that you can sink your fangs into.

Holy Moly, that was just a wild guess, saw the word "boys" in the quote so threw that one in there, thought it was a hundred to one chance though.
Right, try this one on for size .............
"I love robbing the English, they're so polite."

Thanks Jox ya better be careful though, I saw on the news that some Aussie guy living in America got charged with assault for throwing a snowball at a co-worker, luckily sanity prevailed and the charges were dropped. Just imagine that on your rap sheet, assault with a deadly weapon, to wit, one snowball. Better pass it on before it melts.

Are you serious? I don't watch the news much. I peek every now and again, but I don't sit and watch whenever it's on. That's just so stupid to press charges for such a thing. Not unless they had a rock or some type of 'weapon' hidden inside. Then I could see them being charged. Weird how far things can be carried these days.

Yep I kid you not Jox, they didn't give any details just that he was charged with tossin' a snowball at a co-worker who must have taken exception to it for some reason. As I said, the charge got tossed out, still it's a bit scary isn't it, just imagine if they had to bring in a ban on snowball tossing because people started getting up in arms and little Susie got hauled before the court on assault charges for hurling one at little Timmy.

I know about crossed-eyes. I was born with them. It's the reason I can't see out of my right eye, and then the twitching muscles have me looking down my nose to see. (My good eye has to be as close to my nose as possible, or the view starts to jerk back and forth.) So people have a hard time figuring out where or who I'm looking at. At least my right eye was straightened when I was 3, and my left eye when I was 10, so they don't make people's eyes water. (I've met people whose eyes hadn't been straightened and it makes my eyes water for some unknown reason. )

Sorry Jox, I didn't realise of course, should be more careful with my choice of words sometimes.

Don't sweat it Kat, I wasn't offended. I'm around the height of a 12-year-old, (4' 8-1/2") I know how to laugh at myself. Really.
Shoot, I can't ban words that were used to tease me. And it isn't the words, it's _how_ they're said. I can tell when something is said as a joke, or as a slur. No problem, mate.
Shrimp, Squirt, Shorty, Pip-Squeak, Thumbelina, etc. (Cross-eyed Monkey) I used to hate these words until I realized it wasn't the words that hurt, it was the way in which they were slung at me. They don't bother me in the least anymore.
Besides, I can't sue you if'n I don't know where to send the paperwork.

Oh, and, I was also severely pigeon-toed as a child and had to wear special shoes. To this day I sometimes kick my ankles with the toes of my shoes until they bleed. It's a rare thing, but it happens from time to time.
Okay, TMI . . . carry on.

You're very welcome, Kat. Life's too short to have to walk around on eggshells, worrying about watching what you say in jest. And life's also too short to waste time getting upset over little matters. Tis all good.

Are you still happy?” “What do you think?” Oh ho, vox - what a great movie that is!! One of my very favorites. Have seen it many, many times. *thinking* I should say, I'm pretty sure I know which one it is. After making such a fuss, I'll be pretty embarrassed if it isn't... "To Have And Have Not" Is it?

Whew! Good. I was afraid I was over-confident, there. Thanks for letting me off the hook, kat.
Let's see. Here's one from the late '90s.

Mars Attacks?

Sci-fi, yes. But it's set here on earth, and the only "enemy" in this one is a giant asteroid. The film is directed by one of your favorites, Michael Bay.
