Thought I'd try a new game. Here's how to play...at least a preliminary set of rules. One person posts the last line of a famous movie, or even one of your favorite lines from a movie and another person guesses which movie it was. If they are correct they post a line from another movie etc.....any questions? I'm thinking it might be best if players signified whether the line is the last line or best line. I'll start with an easy one. Last Line:"After all, tomorrow is another day."

Great idea, let me be the first to kick it off.
Could this be from a movie about the American Civil War which starred Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh and Olivia de Havilland, called ...............
Gone With the Wind.

You got it....go for it Bud.... ;D Okay, give me a little time to come up with something that's not to obscure, but not real easy either.

Ummm, this is harder then I thought [ which is good ] so just to keep things moving for now I'll use one that is a bit of a no brainer I think. Not the last line, maybe not even the best, but a goodie just the same ....................
"Come wif me if you vant to live".

Ok..here's a toughie....maybe this is cheating a bit....Opening line:
"Much that once was, is lost for none now live who remember it."

Ouch, that is a toughie, I'm thinking it's a period piece, maybe one of that Uncle Willies who you like so much.
Am I in the ballpark?

Kinda, sorta, maybe, perhaps ya reckon. Okay, I'll mull it over , see what I can come up with, it's definitely familiar.

So...need a hint?

I'll see if I can work it out with some pertinent questions first. If it's "sort of" a period film, are we then talking fantasy, which can be set in any period I guess.

Way to go. Why it sounds so familiar is because I've heard it recently, so I'm thinking it's one I've got on disk, and the only fantasy film I have is Lord of the Rings, sooooooooo, is it Lord of the Rings?

Very good...extra points if you can tell me...without looking...which character says it. You're really going for your pound of flesh here, tryin to bewilder the old guy are we. Pretty sure, but not certain, that it was Gandalf, if not, definitly Aragorn .................... Boromir? Legolas? Bilbo Baggins?

I just did Jox [ don't tell Scrappy ] and it sounded like Frodo, what do you reckon?

I think it's Galadriel (Cate Blanchett)... but I could be wrong. I don't have a copy of the movie so I can't say for sure... just going by memory.

Could be right Jox, though it sounds like Frodo up till the end of the line that Scrappy quoted, then Galadriel begins speaking straight after that. Have to wait on Scrappy to confirm it one way or the other I guess, you'd think I'd know after just listening to it.

I had to go back and recheck just to make sure I had it right. According to my sources it was Galadriel the whole time. But I guess since Kat got the line right he gets to go next...sorry Jox. But nicely done to you both.

But nicely done to you both. Ummm, I'm not 100% convinced, hope you have reliable sources, sounded like Frodo to me. I'll take your [ or your sources ] word for it though, at least till I get my ears checked and listen to it again. Righto, this may be very hard, just heard it yesterday from a film clip, line from a film, not an opening or closing line. "We sat and drank with the sun on our backs, and felt like free men".

Ok..I get to ask questions before guessing right? Newer movie or old one? Hey this is your game, don't ask me the rules? Naw, if you think you know the answer just go ahead and blurt it out. It's around ten years old.

I don't know...that's why I'm asking....
Let's see...lead actor male or female?

Oh I see. Both leads are male, very few females in this one.

Noooo, not a cop movie, something in the actual wording should give you a clue as to it's genre.
