Xenites, please read carefully! Xena ended many years ago but whoever followed this TV Series hold dear in their hearts the adventures of the Warrior Princess and Gabrielle. Many times we, the fans, asked Universal to create a sequel of the TV Series and everytime our voices were not heard, but now it's time to fight! The Pages: We Want Xena Back, Xena Revoltata and the group Xena Italian Community are cooperating and involving as much pages as they could and they created a fan action on twitter to get the trending on the topic #XenaMovieOrSeriesNow and #XenaMovieNow, but to make this event succeed they need all of you, more fans will tweet about it, easier it will be to reach our goal and make ourselves notice, let them see that despite the series is ended the fans are fiercer than ever. Besides using the trends written above tweets must include @universalpics, @nbcuniversal and @reallucylawless.

Is there some option for those who do not Tweet? I don't even have a cell phone!

Spock: Your siggy makes me giggle.
Why would it do that? Oh, gosh, I seem to have gotten my sig and the notes mixed up ... however in the world did I do that!?

so what happened as a result of this. i've not been online, obviously, for awhile in the xenaverse. just read in the last week that the final xena convention took place. from what i heard that was said at the last con it's the very same thing that has been said over the last 14 years since xena ended. same ole same ole. evidently it has finally gotten so rotely old. anyhow just curious about this. Also one time I was at the boards in the last three years William Shatner was supposed to be doing a film about the Xena fans. Did he ever do it?

If he did, it got no publicity.
They'll keep the conventions going so long as there's $$ to be made, but I don't think Renaissance Pictures wants a follow up Xena movie. I don't "know" - just a feeling.

actually, stepper, concerning the xena cons, naj is partly right. the 20th-22nd of feburary (i know because i was there) was the last xena con that will be done by creation entertainment, the company who does a buncha cons like the ones for hercules, star trek, stargate, the walking dead, etc. i'm guessing that there will be other conventions for xena, though. just not done by creation entertainment. as to the movie thing, yeah, pretty much it was the same stuff that they've been saying for years. they would be willing to do one if the opportunity presented itself, but they don't know if it ever actually will. this was interesting to me... the whole thing, actually. supposedly they are stopping the cons and not doing a movie because they don't think the fan base is big enough to continue the cons or make money with a movie. however, at the con, when asked how many people were attending their very first xena con, it was literally about half of the thousands of people who were in attendance. if that doesn't prove there is still a large fan base, i honestly don't see what will...

First hand accounts are always welcome! It'll be interesting to see what happens in the future. I'm sure the cons are profitable, but investment requires a certain level of ROE. If they have not achieved that, the cons are done. Or at least those orchestrated by Creation might be done. There could still be sufficient profit to attract a different management company. It would be a mistake to skip a year though - attendance drops significantly when there are breaks - or that's what I understand based on business analysis pertaining to conventions and convention centers. I guess we'll find out soon enough - securing participation of personnel, reservations for space, and announcements, these all need reasonable lead times. No matter how it works out, I didn’t make it to this one and I’m fairly certain I won’t be able to go to the next one.
BTW: I'm soooo jealous that you got to go! Hope you had a great time!

i think they got a pretty good return on their investment for this con. they auctioned off a lot of things, including the dress hudson wore on stage (which sold for $2000!) and the banners they had as decorations, which were autographed. but the site has been saying since they announced the con that this was the last creation entertainment one. i do agree that they should keep them going, and that attendance is likely to drop if another company doesn't do another one next year, but all i know is what i'm told. that's why i had to go. i couldn't miss the last xena con. i did have a great time. for the record, i am the exact same height as lucy lawless. woulda been taller than hudson, but she had on three inch heels! xD
