Psst....Phalon! We have a newbie! Should I make contact or would you like to get out of the hole first?

Hhmmm...should you make contact? Could be a Catch 22, you know. Scary; a real tarotfying situation. Wait...wait, I'm getting a vision. Seems like a character; a real card. Ok, I think, though. Give her a welcome from me....
....since I'm still stuck in this tunnel.
Oh - didn't you mention something about a shovel earlier?
Don't bother...my sword is an original Greek Amazon sword....comes with all the flip-out extras. Let's see....an umbrella - for those, "uhm, what the hell do I do now" moments. Blunt end; helpful for pole-vaulting over castle walls and such....a staff for bacterial infections....a set of sais for all those big, heavy exhales I seem to utter, (sigh), (Sais - the greek spelling). Ah yes; the shovel - perfect for digging myself out of deep sh!t.

I guess you'll be catching up to breakfast anytime now then....

One would think, I think. Should I pick up Joxie and Guru along the way. Or you think they could make it out themselves? Maybe leave a trail of doughnut crumbs for them to follow?

I wouldn't encourage the rats if I were you.

You called them rats?! Shhhh....not so loud. He's got that big gun, you know. Don't make him mad.

Psst....the furry ones at your feet...not the big one in the dark.

No silly - those aren't rats. They're the big over-sized well-nourished dust bunnies that live in my empty head. I let them out every now and again to get some fresh air. It's kinda stale in there.

Ah gotcha...were you aware they have teeth?
|
|
|
Post by Phalon on May 29, 2005 0:16:11 GMT -6
I've got them trained. They only use their teeth when I bite off more than I can chew and need to bite the bullet. Help out, or bite the dust - one of the head rules. Slum lord, you know.

Slum? Thought you said something else....head getting fuzzy you know...in my old age....

Shall I brainwave at you louder? Your hearing going too, in that old age? Doesn't matter you won't remember this conversation five minutes from now anyway.

Eh? What was that you said?

Post by Phalon on May 29, 2005 7:07:21 GMT -6
Damn, forgot to cage up in my head the saber-toothed dust bunnies last night, and they've run amok in the tunnel all night.
Ate the salami, and the remainder of the doughnuts; leaving me with nothing.
And now I can't find them.
Oh Joxieeeee - watch out! I think they're headed your way.

Well at least you have company. I feel much better.

And thanks for your concern. They shall keep me amused, I think.
We have plans later to do the bunny-hop throughout these tunnel halls.
I wonder where they're off to now though. Probably multiplying rapidly somewhere. Soon I'll have to get up and round-up the herd.

Don't forget the flashlight attachment...they are afraid of the light you know.....Go towards the light little dust bunnies! Go towards the light!

Joxie, ready to move on, and I went back to see exactly where Phalon was left hanging. I saw bunches of 's in everyone's posts.
What's up with that?

Must be something to do with the upgrade.

Is what you add to your HTML code when you want a line break. If I use [br] after this line. It will add a line break even though I didn't hit enter to go to the next line.

Pfft. It's somewhat irritating to read a post and come up on them.
<shrugs> Whatever.

I could go through all the posts and edit them out... but not tonight... I'm going to go to bed soon.

Oh geeze, Joxie, that'd take forever!
Not a problem them being there, I'm sure, to anyone.
Don't go through the hassle.

I saved the pages to PDF and plan on uploading them to the Whoosh MSN group at some point... I saved them before the upgrade so they shouldn't have the in the posts. But I will still try to remember to go through and edit them out. Newbies reading may not like them either and just give up.

Thanks for the compliment, Burnout Kid. A great first post from you and anticipating reading more of Catch. Dang it felt good to finally write something – anything. Phalon’s been wasting away in the tunnel for so long, it seemed the longer she sat there, the harder it was for me to get the feel for writing the character again.
A little push from Scrappy, and dang – she’s back. Thanks, Poppet, for getting me to think about the story again. And loved your post!
Phalon’s inside your head now, dying for conversation. Ready?
Hhmmm…in a bit though…in the Phalon mind-set now, and I should probably start that post I told Gabbin two weeks or so ago that I’d write for the ZS story. Wasting away there too - for even longer than she’s been in the tunnel here - and I’ve got to get my poor girl up and moving again before she develops rigor mortis. Give me a day or two to get on with the other story, dearest Scrappy, and then the chatter in your head will be relentless.
I imagine everyone is busy during the summer, but hoping soon to hear something from the other writers out there. Joxie? How long does it take to walk a few yards or so? The table is set, and soon the food will grow cold. I am not missing mealtime again.

Yeah kinda sucked last time you couldn't actually eat anything. Well mental conversation then I'm guessing cold chicken...lol
So....BOK....have you caught up in reading yet? And has anyone heard from Kat on lately on this?
